Yes, I'm OK with her exposing herself to Holmes (it reflects her blind spot) but showing herself in the park to her "mark'? No way.

The woman playing Irene just displayed how inadequate Lucy is for the role of Watson.
Just 2 episodes, and she had more of a presence that the whole season of Lucy.

^I disagree. I think Liu has been excellent as Watson. She has a good non-romantic chemistry with Johnny Lee Miller's Sherlock. Her Watson is believably intelligent, though obviously not the genius Sherlock is.

great season finale. I was worried the episode would end when Holmes OD'd. Glad they wrapped up the story instead of leaving it a cliff hanger.

Just getting caught up, but I was interested in this line of comments:
I thought that making Irene Moriarty was brilliant, although, from the moment she entered Holmes' house I began to suspect something, and I was certain when they had the "birthmark" confrontation.
As for her being captured, I'm not worried at all. With the size of her network, she should have no trouble escaping. So, whether or not she was really Moriarty or a lieutenant, I am confident we haven't seen the last of M.
And I agree that the combination of her love for and fascination with Holmes is what allowed her to fall for the fake overdose ruse. That is what drew her out of the shadows in the first place - she felt a kinship with Holmes that she had never experienced before.

The Mentalist already shot his opponent, then turned out to have shot a guy filling in for the main antagonist of the series. I hope Elementary doesn't do that.
I would like to see Moriarty pull some Mentalist-like tricks and essentially walk out of prison - that seems to fit this series better than a simple jail break.

Didn't see a thread for this weeks episode. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Nice to see Mycroft back. I hope he becomes a regular.
Also, well done, Mycroft. Well done.

I just finished up the first season and this was so annoying because the actress had a pretty bad "american" accent, particularly in the flashback scenes set in London. I didn't recognize her but knew immediately she was a british actress because it's the type of "american" accent you often hear on BBC shows.
