Re: Hotel Hell -- New Series with Gordon Ramsay -- Mondays (FOX)

My local Fox station pre-empted the show with about 7 minutes to go due to an imagined Tornado warning which as usual turned out to be nothing (not even rain). Anyway, can anybody fill me in on ow it concluded? The last thing I saw was GR yelling at the cook for not communicating with his assistant.

I have both episodes of this show to watch yet but you sound like me. TV isn't the same without him for me.

I hope this show lasts in to the Fall. It doesn't look like Kitchen Nightmares will be premiering until January.

Just saw this post by DJariya that shows Nightmares starting in September. Doble checked on the Fox site and that looks correct.

trip advisor reviews on Juniper Hill don't look that bad.. Looks like they nickel and dime you for everything.. but they are still open.

Re: Hotel Hell -- New Series with Gordon Ramsay -- Mondays (FOX)

Finished the 2nd part tonight.

I would have liked an update on what happened since Gordon left. It looked like this was shot around January-February according to what Gordon said in the episode.

at Robert getting a reality check on all the crap he had that was pretty much worthless. I know nothing about art, but if he's going to invest that kind of cash in stuff like that, he should have gotten some expert advice.

I think this may be my new favorite American Ramsay show. I love the fact that he does the narrations. Reminds me of Kitchen Nightmares UK.

This was shot in February. When Gordon talks to the fix-it-all guy, he mentions he hadn't been paid since January 6th and it was then February 1st.

Re: Hotel Hell -- New Series with Gordon Ramsay -- Mondays (FOX)

Sucks about what happened to The Cambridge after Gordon left.

However, it was too little too late and John ran it into the ground. And my God, the nerve of that guy to take $10,000 from his daughter who borrowed it from a credit card while still in school. I know she wanted to help her parents out, but geez if I was him, I would have turned it down rather than let my kid be in that kind of debt with no job yet.

Gordon was absolutely the highlight of the episode and all his sampling and observations. I loved when he tried to go to sleep and the bed broke.

The video that would have freaked me out as a guest was when he showed the doors were unlocked and noone was watching reception where all the room keys were.

What is up with Gordon lettng himself be filmed in the buff?

Really classy gesture my Gordon to offer to pay for Scooter's education.

I know, we're two for two so far. Doesn't do anything for me, but over on the televisionwithoutpity board numerous posters were licking their chops over seeing Gordon in the buff.

I saw they foreclosed on the Cambridge, what did it say after that? I went by too fast!

All I saw was Scooter and very much alive...
However, Scooter is working hard at catering college. His dream of running a bakery is still very much alive.

Re: Hotel Hell -- New Series with Gordon Ramsay -- Mondays (FOX)

I enjoyed the 3rd episode much more than the 2 parter last week. There was more overall about the entire hotel instead of just focusing on the restaurant aspect of it.

Ramsay has always appeared shirtless at least once in every episode of everything but Kitchen Nightmares. He's usually changing into his chef whites.

I've been watching Masterchef since the US version started, and Hell's Kitchen for at least 6 eyars, and dont think I have ever seen him shirtless. much less in such a state that they need to blur out his bits.

Re: Hotel Hell -- New Series with Gordon Ramsay -- Mondays (FOX)

Sorry meant Hell's Kitchen, not Nightmares. KN is the most common when he's getting ready to get into the kitchen.

I really don't consider MasterChef a Ramsay show, but he was just shirtless on Masterchef last week when he was getting ready to call the pass.

You're right that it's never been his backside or something to the point they had to blur it.

I skip over it. First time I saw that spider, I was done. I hate those things. I don't care if it's on tv or not.

The crazy part is the show makes the owners pay for their own conversion (except for when they say something is specifically donated). I talked to an owner of a Kitchen Nightmare and the show cost him $75k. So when they say "In the weeks to follow..." and the place is dead I go "well duh, you put it there."

You would think that the owner of The Keating would know what his problems were.

Re: Hotel Hell -- New Series with Gordon Ramsay -- Mondays (FOX)

Do most people realize they're their own problem?

That hotel looked so incredibly uncomfortable. I would never want to stay there, even now.

Chef went down hard in the kitchen. I like how Ramsay tried to keep him propped up, turned away for a second, and the guy collapsed. I wonder what that was all about? Dehydration, really?

Re: Hotel Hell -- New Series with Gordon Ramsay -- Mondays (FOX)

Great news about the renewal.

But man, when does Gordon Ramsay sleep? He seems to work non-stop the entire year.

Look at what he has for 2013:

2 more seasons of Hells Kitchen (Spring and Summer)

Season 4 of MasterChef

Season 2 of Hotel Hell

Season 5 of Kitchen Nightmares

Plus the stuff he has in the UK and overseeing his restaurants.

Anyways, I watched The Keating episode last night and that guy was a major douche bag.

at Gordon eating that Strawberry Shit Pizza.

at that cheap bastard sending up room service in a cardboard box and plastic plates.

The hotel is still open. Here are their room rates:

http://www.thekeating.com/rates.asp

and yet again, Gordon allowed the camera crew to film him in the buff. Well at least you know he's not shy.

Nudity is no big deal in UK after all. So he doesn't think anything of doing it here.

I think its more surprising Fox is showing anything of it at all even with it blacked out.

Maybe Ramsey demanded the show be run just like Kitchen Nightmares in the UK.

Do they not blur it out in the UK? If I'm watching a show about food preparation, which Hotel Hell is partly, I really have no desire to see some guys ass.

Well, being on the side that watches the show mainly for what goes on behind hotel room doors, I do desire to see some guy's ass. Agree to disagree?

Re: Hotel Hell -- New Series with Gordon Ramsay -- Mondays (FOX)

FYI

Tonight is the 2 hour season finale

Yup the season is over already

Award-winning chef and hospitality expert Gordon Ramsay checks into the River Rock Inn in Milford, PA. The hotel, established in the 1880s, is falling apart. It's in desperate need of a cleaning, there are dead bugs everywhere and Ramsay discovers a disgusting galaxy of stains on one particular bed spread that sends him through the roof. Then, Ramsay checks into the Roosevelt Hotel, a converted 16-bedroom schoolhouse, in Coeur D'Alene, ID, where the owner is more interested in dressing up like Sherlock Holmes for murder mystery nights than he is in updating the hotel's musty décor. Will Ramsay's efforts be enough to save these inns? The special two-hour "River Rock Inn/Roosevelt Hotel," season finale episode of HOTEL HELL airs Monday, Sept. 3.
