Well, aside from the shaky opening scene, I thought this was a terrific episode.
It's going to be hard to wrap things up though.

Poor Dr. Phlox. Out of semi-regular work...
Wouldn't taking away Hoyt's memories of Jessica and Jason cause problems for him? What happens when his mama brings them up the next time. Is his mind all swiss cheesed now?
So the pregnant fairy had to have been the one that Andy banged last season, right? That should be fun for him to explain to Holly.
No Terry, Arlene, or Alcide...they probably weren't missed though.

From the super emotional scene with Jessica/Jason/Hoyt to Russell and Steve slow dancing to Katy Perry, that was a fantastic episode.
I love it when Russell loses his cool and goes into psycho German mode. Good times. I am glad it is revealed that he didn't care a lick about the Authority or Lilith. Putting Salome in her place was an extra added bonus.
Eric is much less convincing in his efforts to pretend to be on Team Lilith. He could barely get out the words. Not sure what team Nora is on though, but I hope she is coming to her senses.
I cannot believe how much I have come to like Tara this season. She and Pam at the club were just great. When Tara took out the sheriff, I applauded.
Oh, and drunk on the kool aid Bill sucks. I want someone, anyone, to hurt him.

Great episode. Loved Russell loosing his shit and slipping back into his Old World accent. Wonder if Newland will join him.
Tara killing the sheriff was pretty awesome.
Looks like they are being purposely vague about upcoming episodes. Shit might get crazy.
Definitely saw that screenshot from the last thread on the preview this time.

Only the owner of the home can deny or revoke permission for a vampire to be there, and vampires can enter the homes of other vampires without permission anyway.

Let's review Season 4: Sookie goes to Fairyland for what seemed, to her, to be a short time. When she returns to Bon Temps she discovers she has been gone for a year. While she was gone, Jason sold her house to Eric, a vampire.
Only the owner of the home can deny or revoke permission for a vampire to be there, and vampires can enter the homes of other vampires without permission anyway.

With that addressed, I have no real issues with this episode.
(I did laugh though, because the "I-Stake" was way too slow... any of the vamps in the room could rip it off before it killed them).

In that case, Sookie really needs to get Eric to sign the house over to her or buy a property of her own. So does that mean if you're renting an apartment, a vampire can only come in if the landlord invites them in? I guess if your landlord is a vampire then you're screwed.

So what's the vampire barrier's position on rental subleases or foreclosures-in-progress?
While I don't expect the "vamp rules" to make perfect sense, I've always thought the invitation rule to be the weakest part of the modern vamp story--though narratively it makes sense to keep them from being overpowering... Home ownership has too many shades of grey for it to work as some metaphysical rule. I guess you've just got to accept/suspend and move on, 'cause it sure doesn't stand up to much thought.

Well I'm a convert. They actually made Tara interesting and her story is a relative high point to the show. Her killing the sheriff was pretty badass. Glad some of the secondary crap was resolved last week. The show seemed more cohesive and organized this way.
So is Hoyt gone for good? I'd not heard about him leaving the show.

Is this the first time anyone has discussed her in a thread?
We didn't watch last night's episode, we watched last week's last night and will catch up tonight.
But, damn, she is truly has gotten hot.
She was one of the most adorable kids back around "When A Man Loves A Woman" came out, she made a few more things and basically disappeared.
She then came back in her late teens (?) as, at best, the cute, nerdy girl and she really looked that way in ND, Veronica Mars and Big Love. Attractive/cute, but not hot, certainly not "Hollywood" hot, not Jessica hot, but I think she looks amazing now. The body and the hair is perfect now. I'm glad to see her stll getting good gigs. (If only that was also the case for Amber Benson)
Even when she kind of had that more plain, nerdy look, I liked seeing her and I remember the fans liking her had, at least, some sway in keeping her character around to be Veronica's pal. They certainly weren't planning that.
The reviews of last night's episode makes me excited to get home, do my husband and father duties and watch this with my wife. This season seems to better than I thought it was heading. After the first couple of episodes, I was considering watching the show until it ended, but not on a regular schedule and selling off my blu-ray sets. Not planning to do that anymore.
