It was enough to get me to watch next week as they were introducing the characters mostly and got some laughs. But if it doesn't improve, I won't be around much longer.

Just watched the first episode. I didn't think it was that bad really. It was nothing groundbreaking or anything like that and was basically just Charlie Sheen playing his typical role but I found it enjoyable enough. For the people complaining I'm not sure what exactly you expected, the show feels like it knows what it's supposed to be and who it's trying to appeal to. It's not trying to be anything more than a simple sitcom. To be honest I think I like it better than Two and a Half Men already (including the years he was on it). I'm in for the season.

Three camera sitcom filmed in front of an audience? Laugh track makes perfect sense then. Not to say that makes this a good show, but it seems that's Sheen's comfort zone.

Hmmm.... I watched the first episode, and got to say I was very disappointed. I do enojy Two and a Half Men (Sheen Years)... it just so mind-numbly dumb that I can pop it in whenever, drink a cocktail, and just have fun.
The problem with this was, he doesn't have an Alan to play off of. There was no obvious main characters besides him... and it didn't work well. I really think they should of went with the approach of having HIM be the one in therapy and having a good therapist be his guide. You could have the buddy/sitcom thing down, he could act more "Sheen" like...

Yeah, the laugh track was annoying, but it was also annoying on Two and a Half Men.
I thought it was decent and will continue with it. Always nice to watch Selma Blair, too!

Wow, this is just "Two and a Half Men 2".
You disappoint me FX
The second episode was just fucking atrocious.
I won't be back.

never watched an episode of Two and a Half Men, and I think Sheen is terminally unfunny. Glad this looks like a bomb, although I'm sad that FX is involved with something so blatantly shitty. Their track record with original shows is usual gold.

Sorry but this is far from "2 and a Half Men." Part of that shows "charm" was the fact that Sheen played a total jackass who led a charmed life. Watching Sheen try to be a good guy is... weird. And not at all funny. I muddled through the first episode and deleted the second episode right after that. This will be a pass.

Didn't make it to the second episode. So surprised this is an FX show. Can't remember the last time i did not Love an fx show ... I've never watched more than just a few minutes of two and a half men at a time because i don't enjoy Charlie sheen's comedic timing and delivery. He hasn't changed at all for this show either. Seems almost like the same character and yes the fact that it has a laugh track definately puts me off the show even more.

I'm checking this out tonight. But, my impression is that FX got this show really cheap from Lionsgate. Hence, that's why Lionsgate will crank out the 90 episode order should this meet ratings expectations. This show must have the budget of one of Tyler Perry's sitcoms for that type of order to be even be considered (even with Sheen as the lead)
I hope this bombs. So fucking terrible.

I have to say I get that if you don't like the show or whatever but to all the people in here throwing a fit about a laugh track is ridiculous . It's not my favorite thing either but to instantly skip something because of something like that seems pretty stupid to me.

Well, Hardly a flop. Broke all ratings records for a cable comedy.
Episode 1= 5.47M viewers
Episode 2= 5.74M viewers
2.3 in the demos.
