Really looking forward to this. I like Sorkin's work and I'm happy to see Daniels get a lead role in a TV series. Plus, with this being on HBO there should be some nice unfiltered language.

Reviews have been pretty mixed but pretty much all critics agree that the pilot is pretty good - http://www.metacritic.com/tv/the-newsroom

I'll check it out. I like the cast and the idea of the show, plus most HBO dramas are decent.

I read the pilot script and it was pretty great, but judging from the trailers things have changed quite a bit since that draft. Jeff Daniels and Alison Pill are well cast and I am looking forward to this tonight.

Yeah she seems pretty fucking out of place. From G4 tv host to Aaron Sorkin drama on HBO within a year or two? Something's off.

she has been getting more and more high profile acting gigs. remember she was in some comedy on NBC a year or so ago.

I've really been looking forward to this. I love The West Wing and hope this will have a similar vibe. Plus Watterson and Daniels are welcome stars.
