Favorite FX Shows?
I was curious to see what the most popular show on FX is for DVD talkers. There are so many good ones. I've included both past and current programs. Select as many as you want! Personally my favorite is "The Shield"

Re: Favorite FX Shows?
I watch SoA because of how absolutely laughably bad it is. Always Sunny I've been a loyal watcher since the first season. Justified I like but haven't seen anything since Season 1.
The Shield was good, but I still feel overrated.

It's Always Sunny despite its drop off in recent years, Terriers, The League and American Horror Story. I was lukewarm on The Shield as well.

The Shield (really good show but after watching it again recently - it does not age well especially those first three seasons - they look and feel dated and some of the acting is pretty cardboard)
Rescue Me (seasons 1 and 2 are spectacular, the rest - tripe)
American Horror Story (was good but not overly great)
Justified (need to catch up but season 1 was good)
Sons of Anarchy (I need to watch this)
Louie (loved seasons 1 and 2)
Wilfred (loved season 1)
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (the first four seasons are strong with sporadic greatness after that)
Archer (love everything about it)
Nip/Tuck (season 1, 2 and 5 only - the rest is crap)
Damages (season 1 is a masterpiece of storytelling and acting - season 2 is just complete garbage and 3 is just okay)
Terriers (I need to catch this what with all the great reviews - maybe a summer weekend viewing session is needed?)
The Riches (only seen season 1 and it was excellent)

Re: Favorite FX Shows?
F/X makes some of the absolute best shows on tv. Love The League, Justified, used to love Always Sunny, still enjoy the declining Sons of Anarachy, the first 80% of American Horror Story, and then the past faves of The Shield, Rescue Me, and Nip/Tuck ... great track record of shows... really knocking it out of the park, IMO.

Re: Favorite FX Shows?
Terriers is on Netflix and a very easy show to marathon (I would say 10 of the 13 episodes are fully serialized.) Great characters, enjoyable plot, generally excellent acting and storytelling -- even if it does come off a bit like a grown up Veronica Mars at times. The series has a beginning, middle and end.

Re: Favorite FX Shows?
I'm a big FX fan:
It's Always Sunny
The League
Archer
American Horror Story
Louie
Wilfred
I plan on getting into The Shield, Justified and Sons of Anarchy. SoA is on Netflix so I think I'll start there this summer.

Re: Favorite FX Shows?
The Shield will always be #1. The League is closely following it. SOA used to be up there, but now it's sort of a turd, so I'll say Wilfred is #3. I'd put Terriers up there towards the top, too.

Re: Favorite FX Shows?
I know F/X puts out quality stuff, but the hit to miss ratio is something when all of its shows are laid out like that.
The Shield would definitely be my favorite.
Love (in no particular order):
Sunny
Terriers
SoA (I devoured the first 3 seasons over the past few weeks.)
Archer
The League
Like:
Unsupervised
Louie
Wilfred
American Horror Story
My sister and brother-in-law keep telling me how great Justified is. I need to get into that sometime.
Anyone remember Starved? It was just okay. F/X seemed to put a lot of faith in it as the channel's big new comedy, but Sunny (which debuted alongside it) was the one that took off.

Re: Favorite FX Shows?
Louie and I keep meaning to check out Archer to see if it's as funny as they say it is (Found that not to be true with Ugly Americans).
I enjoyed The Shield when it was on but in retrospect watching a few eps again recently it, as mentioned earlier, really didn't hold up well nor have much replay value.
Louie? I could see watching my season set for years to come.

Re: Favorite FX Shows?
The only FX show that I don't like is Wilfred. I think The Shield, It's Always Sunny, SOA are the best ones. The rest are ok. I wish Terriers and The Riches would have lasted longer.
