I've got it set to record. From what little I've seen in the previews, it has a little bit of a Justified vibe about it. I'm guessing the actual show will not be at quite that quality, but that would be welcome. I'm a bit miffed at A&E for cancelling Breakout Kings, but The Glades is also coming back this week so it's a bit of a wash.

The lead Robert Taylor is pretty much an unknown Australian actor. I barely remember him from The Matrix.

The supporting cast is decent and yeah it does have a Western/Justified look to it. Hopefully it's good.

I'll give it a shot but early reviews weren't exactly glowing.

What role did Taylor play in The Matrix?

I don't like westerns or western-like shows, so i'm not. but i like that many of these cable networks are doing new and original stuff.

I really liked it. Great scenery, cool main character, and great to see Lou Diamond Phillips again.
I'm glad he's not a drunk, and I the rez angle too. I'll keep watching for sure.

I liked this. Hope we can see more of Cassidy Freeman, well as long as they dont have her get involved with the other guy running for sheriff.

I recorded it. Hopefully this is better than Hell on Wheels.

What's wrong with Hell on Wheels? I'm almost done with the first season and like it quite a bit.

I have this sitting on my DVR, but I plan on waiting a couple weeks before watching it. I find that I'm much more likely to follow through with a series if I group the first couple episodes into a single viewing.

I might have been in the minority, but I wasn't too impressed with it. I thought it was decent, but nothing groundbreaking.

I'll give credit to both A&E and AMC for greenlighting scripted Westerns -- a risk in and of itself.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I especially liked how it hit the ground running and never felt like a pilot.

Will watch this today, but some good news on the ratings end. It was the highest rated original series premiere ever. It beat the series premiere of The Glades 2 years ago. 4.1M viewers watched.

Robert Taylor sort of likes like Robert Fuller from LARAMIE and WAGON TRAIN.

Definitely agree. It started off great and didn't spend a lot of time on character development which can slow a new show down. Do the story and the audience can form their own opinions on who and why.

There's a big audience for westerns, it's good they're finally getting some love.

how is Starbuck in this? I've grown to hate her in everything she's done since BSG.

In a word, annoying. She plays the whiniest big city cop I've ever seen.

I missed her intro. How did a Philly cop end up in rural Wyoming, anyway?

Can't recall either. Is she the chick from 24 too? Hated her in that.

Katee Sackhoff was in a season of '24'.

It looked to me like a standard paint-by-numbers procedural, only it's set in Wyoming. I probably won't make it past the second or third episode unless I see dynamite potential in the cast.
