I was a little confused by the time line and musical choices. I graduated high school in 2000 so bands like Goo Goo Dolls, Jewel and Edwin McCain were entirely appropriate but for someone who graduated in 2006? It just seemed weird.

That was, without question, the least-expected, least-anticipated nude scene in the history of TV.

A change of pace episode. Not my favorite, but I appreciate them trying to do something different. And it's nice to see Judd Apatow do something for the show besides allowing them to use his name on the credits.

I've been rewatching Freaks and Geeks on DVD and made the connection while watching this episode that the mom is the same actress here. Now I'm afraid that every episode of F&G that I watch from now on, I'm going to be seeing her in the shower.

not a bad episode but not the best of the bunch either. it was nice to have a hannah-centric episode though. adam is slowly becoming my favorite character on tv. was nice to see lou taylor pucci too.

Enjoyed it, but it's a throwaway episode to me. I want more New York and I especially want more Zosia! MORE ZOSIA!!!!!!

Exactly. Although I don't care about Zosia at all.

This show should come with a disclaimer: "Only the unattractive people get naked".

Not many laughs in this episode.

I really enjoyed this episode. I think seeing Hannah back home, away from New York brought a new depth to the character - and seeing it in her eyes how she kinda is attracted by the idea of actually moving back home - but then having the douche from New York call her brought everything into perspective.

Every week I like this show a little bit more and it's easily become my most anticipated watch of the week lately.

To be fair, I don't think it's possible to have less Zosia. By my count, she's had one line in the past two episodes.

the little boy inside me who will always see Peter Scolari as Henry from Bosom Buddies, was murdered last night, when i had to see his wrinkled, shriveled, pale cock.

May 20 2012 will be the day i truly lost my innocence.

Who was the guy playing Hannah's date? He looked so familiar.

Would it have been better if it was erect and tanned? At least the mom had better tits than her daughter.

On one hand, I have to applaud that the actors and writers had the guts to show that sex scene with the parents. It didn't involve the usual Hollywood types, and as my friend who was watching this episode with me said, it was rare in showing two people in a happy, healthy long-term marriage. But on the other hand, it was sort of shocking and kind of ... icky. As if the sex scene wasn't awkward enough, the resulting aftermath was probably even worse, but it was certainly funny.

Does anyone think that Brian Williams' daughter has a no nudity clause in her contract?

I'm guessing she does, because that might be embarrassing to a public figure like him if she were to get naked on TV.

Adam is so fucking weird. I eagerly anticipate every scene he's in, just to hear the shit that comes out of his mouth.

Lena Dunham has no problems showing her tits... I wish that wasn't the case.
Is she purposely pushing her gut out to look even fatter than she actually is? Did she gain weight for the role, or is she normally this doey?

I can't tell if the guy playing Adam is a bad actor or if he's playing the character as intended.

They should've had that disclaimer on the past two seasons of Californication when the show basically reduced the female nudity to a minimum but had lots and lots of instances of naked Runkle and naked bald-producer-guy-who-married-Marcy. Look, it's a saggy ugly guy ass again.. comic genius. I'll take Lena Dunham's boobs any day over yet another "funny naked screaming Runkle" scene. End Californication rant.

I want more. More Zosia! She's my favorite character on this show, so far.

Probably, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some "risky" near-nude scene for her near the end of this season. Zosia had her "risky" near-nude scene already.

Either way, it works. He's hysterical.

How did you forget the babysitter!?

Agreed. He's perverted, creepy gold whenever he's on screen.

I think Lena basically addressed this in the pilot with a line like "How come I can never see you naked and you always see me naked?" while in the bathroom together. I don't think any viewers at the time realized how accurate and prophetic that statement would be.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
