Synopsis:

Spoiler:
As Nick (David Giuntoli) delves deeper into his life as a Grimm, a trail of grotesque murders reignites the search for the elusive gold coins. The arrival of a mysterious woman in black (guest star Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) begins to get in the way of Nick and Hank's (Russell Hornsby) investigation as extra precautions have to be taken to ensure their safety. Meanwhile, Nick's ability to keep his true nature secret from Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) comes to a tipping point. Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz and Reggie Lee also star.

Episode 22 of 22

In case you didn't know or weren't paying attention to the NBC schedule thread, this was renewed and will come back in the Fall.

Holy cow! I wasn't expecting Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio to be on Grimm. Very cool!

This show has had a pretty strong second half to the season. I'll be looking forward to season 2.

Agreed! The writers definitely stepped up their game the second half of the season. Strange that NBC has decided to keep the show on Friday nights. I thought that when they were airing episodes earlier in the week they had found it had the strength to carry a better timeslot.

I'm glad they developed a larger story arc to run throughout each episode but I would have preferred to have had them figure out some kind of power Nick has through his Grimm lineage that justifies all of the 'vessen-beasts' (sp?) from being so terrified of him. It always seems silly to see some huge guy getting taken out by Nick just because he knows their secret.

Altho in this finale episode he also appears to have developed some MMA skills now as well.

Love the addition of Mastrantonio. Always great to see an actress whose best days seem behind her make a good comeback! She should be great in this role.

Great finale. To think I almost gave up on this after a few episodes. I agree about the "Grimm power". I always wondered the same thing. Nick got his ass kicked quite a bit. This episode, however, halfway through the final fight he suddenly became faster, stronger, and more skilled. I have a feeling his abilities will slowly come out as season 2 progresses.

Excellent finale. Phenomenal series, for something I had little hopes for since it was NBC on Fridays.

I'm not really a fan of procedural dramas, so I was extremely glad that the writers turned this into more of serial drama. 2nd favorite new show behind Person of Interest. Good shit.

Great stuff. Hope they make Juliet a useful member of the team now. And I'm interested to see what the deal is with Nick's mom. Damn them for not telling us what the captain is this season!

Yep. This show definitely got stronger with the second half... quite the reverse of Once Upon A Time in my opinion. This show gets priority on my viewing schedule of that by a LONG shot.

Very, very cool finale!

And while Juliet may become something useful, Hank is going off the edge.

Now I wonder if Nick's dad was a Royal or something.
