Synopsis: Spoiler:
Episode 5 of 10 In case you didn't read last week's thread, this was renewed for a 3rd season. |
Re: The Borgias -- "The Choice" -- 5/06/12
I am finally caught up. This show is getting better and better (though some scenes are a bit unbelievable i.e. Lucrezia being left in charge). I really like Cesare out for vengeance. Nice.

Glad to see that rat bastard Sforza offed.
I could have done without the Micoletto scenes however. ...and once again, I see even The Killing is getting more thread action than The Borgias! |

It was an awesome kill scene but I thought they were aiming for a little more historical accuracy than that.

Cesare didn't kill Sforza. In fact Sforza outlived Pope Alexander VI.
This is basically a soap opera made with historical figures. Spartacus sort of does this, too, but there's a lot less known about Spartacus and his times than the Renaissance period depicted here. |

I never watched this with the presumption of historical accuracy. But I did presume they would keep the major historical events in order.

Yeah, they're really playing fast and loose with history.
