Synopsis: Spoiler:
Episode 16 of 22 |
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Coincidentally I am going to be doing homework for Systems Analysis class while this airs.
|
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Wow. This is the second episode in a month they didn't air in my area. And they seem to do this shit every year. You can't expect ratings when it's not being aired everywhere.

Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
I don't have much to say about it other than I liked it.
|
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Damn I love this show.
|
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
"I cried during 'About a Boy'...the soundtrack"
|
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
I loved the buttered noodle vending machines in the background of thte hospital school.
|
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Right amount of Chang.
Almost right amount of Pierce. |
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Very few laughs for me... but I loved it. I wonder how this played with casual fans. Ha! What am I saying? Community has no casual fans.
|
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
What a strange episode. Overall I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. I did love Troy's truth serum meltdown (any of Troy's meltdowns make me laugh, TBH), and Pierce's delivery of the "I sat on my balls" diatribe had me .
|
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Strange indeed. Bigger concept than laughs though. I agree with Xander, Troy's meltdown and Pearce's "balls" were the highlights.
Oh and... Blazer Tag! |
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Eh, this one was okay. I generally don't like Abed-centric episodes as much as others. A few laughs but a little too serious for my tastes.
Visually though, it was pretty impressive. The "holodeck" effects and Abed jumping around in bodies were very well done, especially when they were subtly mixing his voice with the characters he was playing. |

And I'm guessing that "Troy's" meltdown was comprised of secrets or information that Abed knows about Troy, correct? |

Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
It got some pretty big laughs from me (Troy's confessions, Pierce's ball-sitting, Dance Pants), but I don't even watch Community to laugh. I watch it because it's so damn good.
I do hate that it struggles though and when watching an episode like this one, I can't help but to constantly think about how not one person is going to tune in to see what the hype is about and become hooked. I can't wait for Dance Pants in 2019! |
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
the best part was at the end when Annie redecorated Troy and Abed's "room."

"I didnīt get Inception... I didnīt get Inception... so many LAYERS!"

Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Definitely going to see this one again.

2.7 M viewers and 1.3. Good Christ those numbers suck balls. Nothing on NBC got higher than a 2.2. The whole Thursday night lineup is way down from a year ago. It's amazing how popular these comedies are in Internet forums etc., but nooone fucking watches them according to Nielsen. |
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Loved this episode from start to finish. Just fantastic.

Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
Pearce's balls thing really struck me as something that would have been on Seinfeld or Curb.
|
Re: Community -- "Virtual Systems Analysis" -- 4/19/12
I would so holodeck Annie...

Probably because it already was... Larry has "long balls," and sat on them.
