Synopsis:

Spoiler:
When the biology final exam is postponed, Jeff (Joel McHale) encourages everyone to join him for a three hour lunch, but Annie (Alison Brie) convinces Abed (Danny Pudi) to let her spend some time with him in the dreamatorium instead. What starts as an innocent simulation of "Inspector Spacetime" becomes a more serious examination of the study group members and Annie learns a little bit about what makes Abed tick. Chevy Chase, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash also star.

Coincidentally I am going to be doing homework for Systems Analysis class while this airs.

Wow. This is the second episode in a month they didn't air in my area. And they seem to do this shit every year. You can't expect ratings when it's not being aired everywhere.

I don't have much to say about it other than I liked it.

Right amount of Chang.

Almost right amount of Pierce.

Very few laughs for me... but I loved it. I wonder how this played with casual fans. Ha! What am I saying? Community has no casual fans.

What a strange episode. Overall I liked it, but it wasn't my favorite. I did love Troy's truth serum meltdown (any of Troy's meltdowns make me laugh, TBH), and Pierce's delivery of the "I sat on my balls" diatribe had me .

Strange indeed. Bigger concept than laughs though. I agree with Xander, Troy's meltdown and Pearce's "balls" were the highlights.

Oh and...

Blazer Tag!

Eh, this one was okay. I generally don't like Abed-centric episodes as much as others. A few laughs but a little too serious for my tastes.

Visually though, it was pretty impressive. The "holodeck" effects and Abed jumping around in bodies were very well done, especially when they were subtly mixing his voice with the characters he was playing.

I haven't had time to think this one through, but you're spot on. A little too serious for my tastes.

And I'm guessing that "Troy's" meltdown was comprised of secrets or information that Abed knows about Troy, correct?

Loved this line only because "Silent Sigh" is such an awesome song.

Didn't air here either. Some BS local Olympics show instead.

It got some pretty big laughs from me (Troy's confessions, Pierce's ball-sitting, Dance Pants), but I don't even watch Community to laugh. I watch it because it's so damn good.

I do hate that it struggles though and when watching an episode like this one, I can't help but to constantly think about how not one person is going to tune in to see what the hype is about and become hooked.

I can't wait for Dance Pants in 2019!

the best part was at the end when Annie redecorated Troy and Abed's "room."

2.7 M viewers and 1.3. Good Christ those numbers suck balls.

Nothing on NBC got higher than a 2.2. The whole Thursday night lineup is way down from a year ago. It's amazing how popular these comedies are in Internet forums etc., but nooone fucking watches them according to Nielsen.

Pearce's balls thing really struck me as something that would have been on Seinfeld or Curb.

Probably because it already was... Larry has "long balls," and sat on them.

Unless you already knew that and were being facetious, in which case I apologize.

That explains why I didn't find it funny. As typical of this season, I enjoyed the cleverness of the episode, but felt it lacked the comedic payoffs. Still worth 21 minutes of my time.
