Alcatraz and Breaking In are almost guaranteed to be gone.

Touch is likely to be renewed.

The Finder is probably gone (shame, I like it, belongs on USA tho)

Fringe is as up in the air as it gets since it got renewed on shitty ratings in the past.

Does Fringe have enough episodes in the can for syndication? Wasn't that the justification in the past to keep it around one more year?

FOX could care less about it's syndication value. They don't own the show.

The sticking point right now from what I've heard is getting the show in a budget range where it's not bleeding too much money for FOX.

Fringe's ratings suck... but they actually do okay for a Friday, at least last time I checked.

Re: FOX renewal annoucements 2012-2013 season

So Alcatraz is almost certainly a goner?

Just another reason for me to NOT invest time in new shows. The only two shows I even watched this year were Alcatraz and The River and now it seems like both will be gone. The last show I watched right from the start that I really enjoyed was the Sarah Conner Chronicles and that got the ax after season 2 and that pissed me off too.

I was interested in Touch but didn't start watching it. Same with Awake. I have some episodes of Awake on my Tivo still. By the way, I know this is a FOX thread, but how did Awake do? Should I just skip that too? If it has no chance of coming back, I'm not even going to bother. I had a few episodes of The Firm saved up, but once I found out it had a death sentence, I just deleted them.

edit: Nevermind. I just used my Google skills and apparently Awake is a "certain cancellation"

It sounds like it's been couple of really tough years for you. I will keep you in my prayers brother. Remember that Christ is there for you to lean on in difficult times.

Love me some Fringe. Rarely is there a show that goes so balls-to-the-wall sci-fi and doesn't give an F if you can't follow along...

I don't think syndication is much of a concern these days; especially for a serialized science fiction series like Fringe.

The most it can probably hope for is a run on TNT in the morning before "Charmed" re-runs, or a brief stint on BBC America or SyFy.

Of that list I watch Fringe and Alcatraz. I wouldn't miss Alcatraz at all. And while Fringe is engaging if they were able to wrap it up this season I could live without it as well.

That's not possible given that they're done filming this season.

I'm sure they structured the season finale so that it could serve as a series finale if need be.

Glad to see Raising Hope was renewed. A 13-episode final season of Fringe would be great. I don't watch the other shows.

Syndication value for a one hour drama, especially a SCI-FI drama, is almost nothing. Sitcoms are where its at in syndication.

WB owns Fringe and cares about syndication. Apparently, WB cut a deal last year to take on a lot of the production cost in order to try and get this to syndication. This is a year 4 show and still no syndication deal. The ratings are dismal. It is getting 3 million viewers and 1 demos. Repeats of that angry chef from England gets about the same in demos. Just cancel this show already.

So if no one is watching Fringe first run, who is gonna buy the syndication rights for it? SyFy maybe? Or even BBCAmerica...I don't see many other options. Didn't they want to get Chuck to a fifth season for the same reason? I haven't heard anything about a syndication deal for Chuck.

Re: FOX renewal annoucements 2012-2013 season

If noone has been paying attention to Touch's ratings, it's pretty much a lock for a 2nd season. That's pretty much why the 24 feature film has been postponed.

So noone is jumping for joy that Glee got a 4th season (Senior year?)

I'm glad that Raising Hope is coming back even though it's ratings haven't been that good this season.

Noone should be surprised that New Girl is coming back.

Hope Fringe get's one more season, but the writer's are amazing, so I'm sure they could wrap it up this season if need be.

I really enjoy New Girl and Raising Hope, so that's awesome.

Reinforcing mediocrity. I know Alcatraz was flawed but I thought it had potential. Won't be watching the others on the list.

Alcatraz is the only new scripted show I got in to this season. I really hope it doesn't get cancelled.

Happy about New Girl, hoping for Fringe and Alcatraz. Rest I could care less about.
