South Park - Faith Hilling (03/28/12)

Ok this was infinitely funnier than last weeks horrible episode. Old Long Johnsoning. Butters with the gun. The trains.

Absolutely. This episode was much more in line with the higher points of South Park throughout the years.

Great rebound episode, lots of funny.

One of the headlines in the paper caught my eye so went back and took a screen grab. Not only does the story text match what was Stan read, but the other articles are genuine stories only a couple of days old.

I saw that Old Long Johnson cat on AFHV years ago, I loved the shots of him in his kitty carrier.

Was Faith Hilling a real thing? I can believe it.

Alright episode. The highlights for me were Butters with the gun in his mouth, the educational video with everyone getting hit by trains, and the guy that drove up in the parking lot and insulted Cartman and Kyle.

Does Faith Hill really do that?

No, but Taylor Swift really does scoot around on her ass.

And I felt just the opposite. This was a lame episode. The only laugh it got from me was when Cartman Faith Hilled outside Planned Parenthood. Weak season so far.

This episode had me laughing my ass off all the way through. A brilliant take on these "fads" and how the people who execute them behave.

Butters had to be my favorite in all of this...I am still laughing thinking about him and the gun.

I thought it was pretty lame, actually. I liked the last couple episodes much better. At least the writing is more focused now, I'll give them that. The last two seasons were riddled with episodes that would introduce a potentially rich subject only to veer off onto some weird tangent instead.

A few chuckles during this episode but I liked last week's better.

Same here. I thought this was the worst episode of the show. I don't get this planking/Faith Hilling and so on. And didn't think any of it was funny. I actually did like last week.

That was hilarious. I think both episodes have been great so far.

I must be in the minority, while I liked the episode, I liked last week's better.

I liked last weeks more too, but this one got some laughs from me.

I thought this episode was hilarious. I usually get bored halfway through an episode, but this one was great start to finish.

I'd have to agree. I thought last week's was miles better than this one.

There were some good bits. I loved it when everyone saw the train coming and just gawked at how it was coming instead of getting out of the way.

Is somebody saying "this was the worst episode of the show" a weekly thing in this threads?

Welcome to the internet!

And I did indeed make that comment about the first episode of the season. This episode actually made me laugh more than a few times.

I just didn't think there were many good jokes or one-liners in this episode. The basic core of the plot would have worked better as a secondary storyline to something else.

I liked both this week as well as last week. I guess I'm really the minority here
