That was a pretty dark take on The Mad Hatter--especially the beheading. I liked it though--especially how he appeared to get Emma to think about Storybrooke and Henry's story book a little more.
I wonder what Mr. Gold's agenda is with regard to Regina and Mary Margaret.

Loved the Fairytale land stuff. I wonder why they didn't show the Queen of Hearts. Maybe a big reveal later?
I also liked seeing that Emma may be on the verge of believing.
He'll probably double-cross Regina, somehow.

really liked hatter/jefferson. Hope they bring him back. It's one more person who is aware of the curse.
Now did i miss Roger Daltery? They said he would be in the episode but I didn't see him or just didn't recognize him.

So, since Jefferson/Mad Hatter was stranded in Wonderland when the curse sent everybody to Storybrooke, we are to assume everybody in Wonderland has a Storybrooke counterpart?

I'm wondering if anyone could see if any of those other doors in the hat lead to anywhere specific?
There's got to be a door going to Halloween Town in there somewhere.

That's my guess. In his words, he "promised a result". He just never specified if said result would benifit Regina or himself.
Is this the first episode the Queen has been called Regina in the fairy tale world?
I thought that was him at first but dismissed it when the character never appeared again. What a shame as I was looking forward to seeing him.

That appears to confirm something I've been wondering about Storybrooke. Specifically, that its residents don't age and that nothing really changes. The curse prevents the residents from noticing this.

I guess Henry is the only child in Storybrook who did age. Thats gotta be weird for a kid. I still wonder if nobody can leave I'm sure others can come in otherwise how did the Queen "acquire" Henry as a baby?

So far only Emma and Henry, people in direct lineal descent from Storybrooke residents, have arrived from outside. It leaves me to wonder if Storybrooke is magically protected against outsiders finding it.

Maybe the Queen can leave. She exempted herself from other aspects of the curse, like forgetfulness.

makes sense. Outsiders would notice they fact the their friends and neighbors were not aging.

Mr. Gold can probably leave. He appears to be immune to the curse. Has full memory anyway. He acquired Henry for Regina. Did Gold know who Henry was when he got him? Does he know who Emma really is? Or is there some underlying force for good steering some events.

I think he's aware of who Emma is just not sure what his end game is. He may not want the curse broken just yet. He was imprisoned after all. I think that will change once he finds out that Belle is still alive and Regina lied about it.

I really liked this one, was darker than the previous episodes. I've always know the Mad Hatter as a bit player in Alice and Wonderland. Was he any more than that?
