Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Ace reacts decisively to a new wrinkle in the racetrack deal, but it's probably not a move that Smythe will take lying down. Meanwhile, Walter tries to concentrate on the historic Western Derby, in which his horse will go head-to-head with Gus'; Rosie's good news isn't so great for Leon; and Jo is injured in a stable accident.

As some of you already know, HBO, Michael Mann and David Milch cancelled the show this past week. It was reported in the press that a horse died during filming of season 2 (2 died during season 1) and they decided to shut down production for good. Next week is the "Series Finale"

I just got caught up with the last 3 episodes, including this one.

Really disappointed that next week is the end for good.

Poor Israel getting his body chopped up and becoming fish food. At least he has "Suits" to go back to this summer. Mike is one diabolical villain. It's a shame we won't get to see a full season of Michael Gambon as Mike. I like this little war he has going with Ace.

At least Jerry's luck is turning around. Now he's banging the hot card dealer.

The only storyline that I don't really care about is Walter Smith's since I only understood 1/4 of what Nick Nolte is mumbling.

Good interview with Mann and Milch about the show. They address alot of the problems, the bad ratings and the cancellation. They said it's possible we may see the 1st episode of season 2....I have to assume it will be included as a bonus feature on the DVD/BD.

They brought up a good point about the shitty scheduling. Why didn't they start airing in it 3 weeks earlier? It very well could have built up a better audience. I remember thinking it was bizarre that they were premiering it one week before the Super Bowl and then airing it against the SB.
