Okay, I caught up with the last 2 episodes.
So far, I'm enjoying it. I don't want to over-analyze the show and try to look for deeper meaning into every little detail. I actually like the documentary style filmmaking. I think it adds to the suspense and clausterphobia of this crew in the jungle.
Hey, we have a Scott Michael Foster siting. He played Cappie on Greek and currently plays Becca's BF on Californication.
I thought the raining birds and the bug storm effects were pretty good.
However, I was at Lincoln and Lena singing the camp fire song with the guitar and accordian. That was a pretty a pretty bad scene.
The Hanging Man curse thing kind of lost me.
So if I'm understanding this correctly, Jonas captured some footage from that funeral on his cell phone camera and brought about a curse on the ship. Emmet threw him off the ship and gave him to the jungle as some sort of sacrifice for doing it. So all they had to do was just destroy the cell phone?
We're at the halfway point now, if you have made it through 4 episodes, you might as well finish out the remaining 4 unless you really really can't stand it.

I don't think Emmet knew that Jonas stole that tribal elder's soul with his cellphone camera (or maybe he did after reviewing all the onboard cameras), so the best way to deal with it was just to get rid of him.
I guess it goes back to the myths indigenous people have about photographs stealing their soul.

This episode wasn't bad. I'm getting better with the whole camera thing so I won't get into the scenes where it was pretty bad.
But, I was wondering, if he was hanging there for that long, why didn't he lose weight? Ohwell, at least they have another cameraman
