Does anyone else want to punch Chris Hardwick in the face?

I'm sure he would think that would be awesome or amazing.

Don't do it, if you miss, you might break your hand on his freakishly large Adam's Apple.

Rick was doing a hell of a Daniel Stern impersonation in the final scene.

I tried ... I found my attention wandering by the end. It started off interesting, but ran back to the same dried-out well. Note to producers: you are losing us. Get the damn show moving already!

Edited to add: I loved the walker basically skinning his own face to get to Lori. (I had to say something positive.)

Yeah, the first half was great but it started dragging once everyone got back. It will be interesting to see if Rick turns on Shane. I also loved how Hershel totally went into badass mode, it made the impact from the barn massacre so much more real. Not only did he kill a guy, he was willing to leave two more behind.

I thought Hershel was going to run out and help the moaning guy that he shot, until a lamebrain came and ate his face. Ick!

Most people were probably rooting for the face pusher to get Lori. I know I was.

The zombie makeup in both of those scenes was great.

One of the worst episodes of the season IMO.

A few bright spots.

 The shooter from the roof getting impaled and freaking out when Herschel was about to do a quickie amputation. Loved when Rick just ripped his leg out.

 Also, loved the black shooter getting his nose and part of his face eaten off by the walker.

The makeup on the walker ripping his face through the glass to get to Lori was pretty awesome.

:thmbsdwn: to the whole love triangle nonsense being brought up again. Shane was acting like an asshole through this whole episode.

Glenn acting like a pussy.

Some of the dialogue was just horrendous. When Rick was reciting all those lines when they are in the bar to the shooters outside, I started to cringe. Who the hell talks like that, Especially in that type of stressful situation.? And whole baby Daddy talk with Rick and Lori was also cringe worthy.

 Terrific episode.

The standoff at the bar and Lori fighting to get out of the SUV were intense scenes. Add to that some cool zombie action ( at that dude getting his face chewed off), Rick ripping the dude's leg off the gate spike, Hershel being an ice-cold badass with a gun, and Lori getting all Lady MacBeth at the end...

...good stuff.

Yup, I agree. Great episode. I loved the zombie peeling his face

I like the bit involving Glenn. At first I was confused, Glenn is such ninja after all. Then the explanation made sense.

It's too bad that the writers forgot that Hershel was drunk. The shootout scene would have been hilarious had he been stumbling around, singing, etc.

I think the low point was with Carl finding out about the baby. Yay I'm going to be a big brother! Can we name it Sophia? Can I feel it kick?

Loved the Zombie ripping his own face off as well. Rick pulling the guys leg off was so quick and unexpected, it really shocked me.

Pretty good episode, but I agree once everyone came back to the farm it got stale again. And Lori really needs to die.

I liked it for the most part. Everything with Lori is falling pretty flat for me, though. I kind of feel like they are trying too hard to fit her into the story, or something. If that car accident wasn't done to set up a miscarriage, it comes off as totally lame and pointless to me. And while I've never been actively been rooting against Shane, he does seem to be getting crazier. I think they are showing that he really doesn't care about the rest of the group, just Carl and Lori. And to a lesser extent, Lori's approval.

Can we just lose Shane and Lori right now.

Loved the change in Hershel. Glad to see he finally realizes what he is up against. Loved how Maggie ran past Dad to hug Glenn. Andrea seems unsure about Shane now.

Great makeup tonight, walker and the windshield and the face eating.

2nd half seems better in its first two outings than the first half season did.

I feel the part of Lori was totally miscast, unless they were going for making her completely unattractive and unlikable. Same with Andrea. Neither has any redeeming qualities. Dale is too over the top righteous. Did something happen to the black guy? I don't remember seeing him.

Right now Rick and Glen are the onlyt two people on the show I give a damn about.

I think they are slowly turning Lori to the dark side. It looked like she was clearly pushing Rick's buttons to go after Shane. I liked the episode, even the bit with Lori and the car. Everything at the farm was building to something except the whole baby bit... but that was at least short.

Probably my favorite shot on the show. The profile shot of Rick plus the way the camera panned was great.

Yeah, I noticed that too. They've got some 24 logic going on. In the final moments of the last episode Hershel was drunk and it was daytime out when Rick capped those two guys. Opening shot is of Rick hovering over one of the guys(queuing in the viewer that no time has passed) and it's now night time and Hershel is sober.

At least they did manage to get Rick to reload as his six shooter was out. I sat there thinking, "ok, 4 shots to kill the two guys in the bar and he fired two out the door, hope he remembers to reload". And he does!

I was confused as to why the other party weren't calling the walkers "lame brains".

This episode was just all over the place.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Triggerfinger" -- 2/19/12

So it was clearly nighttime when the hurried the hell out of town. But they don't get back to the farm until many, many hours later. This, after they've already established that town isn't that far away. They got there pretty fast on horseback previously. So a speeding car should get them back in no time.

But nooooooo...we have to create some fake tension back at the farm. Can't have Rick back too soon!

Sloppy crap like this really bogs the series down.
