She's a class act who offers nothing creatively.

I still don't have a vibe on who's going to win this. Usually by this point it's obvious. I mean I know it's not Aubrey, Lisa, Penn, Paul, Lou, Dayana. Are they really going to give us a final with Arsenio and Clay?

I'm going to guess that Aubrey comes back and it's going to be her and Clay in the finale with Clay "winning".

You can be a intelligent whiny asshole also. Dayana is an attractive woman,a class act and not creative. If Aubrey does walk off though that's lame .being driven out by arsenio hall would make me not show my face in public for awhile

Lisa and Aubrey have been the "creative" on the women's team and lost 5 out of 7 challenges. Meanwhile, Dayana has been shown making suggestions on things to add or remove that ended up being the difference between a win and a loss for the teams she's been on.

At the end of the day, most of these tasks are bullshit anyway, so I'll continue to determine how smart these people are by how they behave and present themselves to what I'm sure is the largest and most terrific audience in America.

But even that is somewhat just what the producer's want to show. I think the long form interviews of the people on the show give a pretty good picture of what the other celebs are really like.

Lisa Lampanelli is the self-proclaimed "queen of mean," so I doubt her being nasty on the show is going to shock anyone. Her comedy routine is kind of extreme. She hosted the Adult Video News Awards last year and actually had a roomful of porn stars squirming uncomfortably in their seats.

There could have been other reasons.

I started watching this show liking Lampanelli but now I hate her. Same with Arsenio. He was just being a bully to Aubrey.

I'm not getting the Arsenio/bully complaints. For two days he kept himself in check to complete the task and not derail the team. By the time the board room came around, he couldn't hold back anymore, and didn't need to. It's not like he was wrong about anything he said.

+1. Now it's coming out that Lisa and the housewife lady were both scared of the angry black man, Arsenio Hall, because of his behavior.

Has there been any word on whether there will another season of eith regular or celebrity apprentice? (it might be too early).

If not, maybe they should do a "celebrity" v regular cast apprentice except the "celebrities" can't use star power (by that, I mean calling in favors)

He kept himself in check? I wonder how much time he wasted complaining and crying about not liking his photo on that box. Aubrey's design assessment with the photo thing was the correct view.

Its also the fact that Arsenio knows how much of a pain Aubrey was during the Danity Kane days. Because he's friends with Diddy, he was around during all that stuff and saw all the behind the scenes fights between Aubrey and Diddy.

He's yelling at her based on what he actually has seen and knows, not just off what someone thinks. Aubrey would like to think know one pays attention to what actually caused the break up of the group, but that's not going to happen.

I assume it will but I don't remember the last one with just regular people but it probably bombed so the celebrity version will be the only one we will see.

/\ There was a non-Celebrity edition in 2010, I believe, and it did bomb terribly. The Celebrity version is the only thing keeping the brand alive.

Was the LA one the last non-celeb one? Where the losers had to sleep in tents in the backyard? If they do another celeb one, they should have the 2 weakest players from each of the men's and women's team have to sleep with each other. Think how many times Dayana would have to sleep with team member from the men's team!

Timber 04-08-12 07:05 PM

Re: The Celebrity Apprentice -- Season 5 Thread -- Sundays (NBC)

No, I think the LA version was the one that originally killed the non celeb version. They came back and tried another one in 2010 and that one actually buried it.

It's funny because I was one that wanted to them to bring back the non celeb version instead of the D list celeb version but the original is so boring compared to the celebrity version that its not worth it anymore.

"Bitch and whore"?

Wow, Arsenio just went even lower in my book with his continued rant.

Jesus Christ, how does this show get even worse. Trump ask Lou his opinion, he gives it, and now getting shit for it. Manipulation at its finest.

I'm can't hold it against it him because I've said things like that, but it was a very ugly moment, one I hope he feels embarassed about. I didn't think Lisa had any claim to moral high ground when she chastised Arsenio, but she made a really good point about how he was going to damage his image.

I have to laugh, the longer the show goes on the less I like the people I was first excited to have on the show; Lisa is an annoying crybaby, Arsenio is jackass, Penn seems like he dosen't want to be there which makes me wish he was gone. Adam really went out well.

BTW, did we ever find out what Arsenio's cousin died of? Jeez, I'm blaming the editors for putting in too many clips, but Arsenio talking about his AIDS cousin was repeated over and over like it was Lou's "110%"

It was his time to go but I think I'll miss Lou.

It amazes me how a bunch of has-beens and never-weres D-listers could have such huge egos.

Could Penn look any more miserable? Carolla is lucky he got out early.

Both commercial spots were lousy, IMO. Teresa's looked like a bad outtake from a "Three's Company" episode. I thought Dayana's was slightly better, but her visual sense makes Kevin Smith look Stanley Kubrick. Lou was actually right that they needed more coverage.

I see from the preview that Clay switches teams (something I'm sure he's familiar with) next episode. Seems like they are setting up an Arsenio vs. Clay finale.

Interesting that Lou said he gave all he can give when he continually implied that he was giving more than humanly or mathematically possible. Guess he didn't feel it was safe to go to 120%?

I always feel bad for these dinosaurs that don't even know how to send e-mail. I mean could he even send a text if he had to?

klemsaba 04-09-12 02:53 PM

Re: The Celebrity Apprentice -- Season 5 Thread -- Sundays (NBC)

If Lou was always giving 110% isn't that really his 100%?
