Ugh. What a stinker. I've quickly come to the conclusion that I'm going to struggle mightily to make it through the next 5 weeks. This just didn't hold my interest at all. Mysterious tribe of jungle people? Come on man.
Another problem is that I'm having a real hard time understanding the dialogue. Usually I don't have any problem with accents but I'll be damned if I can understand what most of the characters are saying. 5 of them have pretty heavy accents and Lincoln mumbles. I wanted to know about Teri Bauer's supposed affair and stuff and the explanation came from a guy with a very heavy accent who was half dying and mumbling and groaning. I caught like every 4th word. I'll most likely stick it out but this episode really lost me. |

I wish they had just shot it without the "we're looking at it from their cameras" gimmick. I'm paying more attention to how did they get that shot than the actual story. Like when the 3 of them went back into the jungle to get the bulb thing. I kept seeing 2 different camera shots but only one cameraman. Then I noticed she had a camera strapped to her arm. How the hell can you get anyone in frame like that? And while the cameraman was under the tree during the cave-in, he's still got himself in frame. In reality (yeah, I know), I'd let the camera go and start to dig my way back out.
It shouldn't but it just takes me out of the show. It's bugging me now...grrr  |

Yeah, totally agree. Next thing you know they'll want to do a sitcom where everyone has a camera strapped on.

Well I was pretty sure at the end of ep 2 that the only cannon fodder left cast wise was the boat mechanic, the snarky director and of course the camera man.. Sooooooo as this ep unfolded it really looked like they were going to knock off all three of them in order. -eek-
Then of course everyone was some how saved in the last few min.. ack.. Oh well, not the best ep over all but again, I'm a sucker for the theme of the show and with so few eps to the show's over all run this season I'm still in as far as watching them all... I did like the massive rant from the guy when he found out he had to under a tree for the flower bulbs.. |

I actually enjoyed this episode more than the premiere episodes, but it was still pretty cheesy. I can overlook all of the camera angle gimmicks, but I agree it is more of a detraction/distraction than not. For me, it's harder to overlook the fact that so far someone knows exactly what's up and then describes it to the group/us. The formula of "this is some weird stuff-glad one of us knows what's happening-let's look at the tapes for an easy answer" is hopefully over, but I'd guess it probably isn't.
Anyone else think of this? <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dJw9Ro9UQNM?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dJw9Ro9UQNM?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> |

It reminds me of those "find 6 things wrong with this picture" puzzles they have for kids, so I just look at it as an alternate way to enjoy the show. I'm going to keep watching since there's nothing else on in that time slot for me. |

Yeah, I was only halfway paying attention to some parts. How did the TV producer guy get injured?

Yeah the producer walked up behind the captain who was on the lookout for natives. He was holding a large knife, got spooked, spun around and stabbed him.
