Ratings for the 4th season have actually been better than season 3. I think the chances of a 5th season are pretty good.

what an episode ! - the writing in this series is top notch, however if the trailer for next week is what I think happens to my favourite character ... :(

Loved Dewey's story about his FTO. Sherman chasing the dwarf around. :lol:

I love the random little side things that happen in the show. Not even the main plot things. Also loved Cooper's speech to the speeding guy near the end. :up:

Good episode. I also loved the traffic stop speech.

I'm really liking the new partnerships, especially Cooper and Tang. They play really well off one another. Case in point: the traffic stop with the lady who "lost" her baby. Tang just walking off and Cooper actually humoring the lady cracked me up.

Loved this episode. I'm not sure if I'm just misremembering previous seasons, but it seems like every episode this season (until now), there's been some really grisly or just over-the-top death or crime (sometimes a few in one episode), so I was glad to see just a more straightforward episode. The show doesn't need that type of stuff week in, week out to be entertaining and thrilling. I don't think anything crazy at all happened in the first season and it was still great.

Almost a week late commenting on this episode, but this was a fantastic episode. Loved the stuff with Cooper and the gay kid. The standoff on the roof was very intense. I think it was probaby one of Michael Cudlitz's best performances on the show. It sucks the kid eventually killed himself. I know Lucy Liu is only contracted as a recurring guest star and has no commitment to this show beyond this season, but if Southland gets renewed, I hope she sticks around. She and Cudlitz have been great.

Also a week late, how come it was raining in one half of the ep, sammy and sherman were in the rain the whole time, and everyone else was dry?
