I thought it was a perfectly enjoyable episode up until "that point" Unbelievable.

It had better be put to a very succinct end in the next episode.

I laughed at the end scene. I guess that's not good.

But yeah, good episode. But I really hope that ending was a joke.

Terrible episode. This season has officially reached season five levels of badness.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- "The Drunk Train" -- 2/13/12

The posts in here about the "ending" prompted me to check out my DVR'ed ep. And...yeah...agreed if it's what I think it is but

Spoiler:
I actually liked the final bit at the end with Barney and the stripper

Generally speaking why do they try to touch me emotionally? For the guys behind the "Bro code" they sure like to go on about feelings instead of sticking with the yuks.

But at Barney writing Vaginaville on the map and the three legged race for Enormous Penis Syndrome.

They are getting older, so the "Bro code" is not that important anymore.

Always nice to see Becky Newton, looks like she's regaining her form back from her stint with pregnancy in 2010.

This is just SO pointless. We KNOW they call her AUNT ROBIN. We KNOW she can't have kids. What the hell are they doing!? They better end this quickly.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- "The Drunk Train" -- 2/13/12

I really enjoyed this episode, especially the whiteboard .

I guess I'm not that upset about the ending as most of you because it does make a little bit of realistic sense. Both of them have never really gotten over each other (Just always been in the wrong place at the wrong time) and both of them are emotionally hurting -- it seems like one final rebound between friends. And since we obviously have at least another season of 24 episodes ahead of us, I wouldn't be that upset if they explored this (for the final time) for a couple of episodes. At least the shrink is FINALLY gone.

Even knowing this was going to happen after the cup cake girls returned, I feel the same way. Please end it quickly (like by the end of sweeps hopefully.)

Spoiler:
Perhaps the real mother dies and she winds up raising them but still calling her Aunt Robin since their mother lived long enough for them to know her.

Just a hunch if this entire thing is a fake out and they want to throw the audience a curve ball at the end.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- "The Drunk Train" -- 2/13/12

This was the best episode of the season by far... until that end.

I sat there thinking... they're not going to go there are they? And they did. But didn't Ted mention something about him and Robin having to play out one last time when his ex-girlfriend the baker came to town earlier this season? I don't remember.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- "The Drunk Train" -- 2/13/12

Yeah, great episode until that end. This show has now reached Friends/Scrubs levels of "will they/won't they" ridiculousness, especially since we already fucking know they aren't going to end up together.

Also, I really hope that was the end of Kal Penn's run on the show. I don't know if it was just because he didn't mesh well with the cast/material or what, but he was terrible on this show.

I think it's great that almost everyone hated the ending. I like this show but I'm not too passionate about it, but that ending... I thought about going to Twitter and message boards.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- "The Drunk Train" -- 2/13/12

Wonder if the ending was a fake-out, and Robin and Barney will end up getting married by season's end.

The wedding takes place at the end of this season, doesn't it? I doubt Nora will come back, and I don't think Barney will marry the stripper.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- "The Drunk Train" -- 2/13/12

Seems like I'm in agreement with everyone else. Great episode, up until the ending. I'm so sick of this crap with Robin and Ted and Barney, they need to just move on.

Got a kick out of Barney liking the stripper and not recognizing her though. Nice little (unexpected) twist.

Re: How I Met Your Mother -- "The Drunk Train" -- 2/13/12

Why are they making Barney catch feelings for yet ANOTHER woman? First the British chick, then Robin, now this one.
The writers went out of their way to make him look like the ultimate bachelor but yet he falls in love more than anyone else on the show.. shitty.
In one of the previous seasons, wasnt Ted in the mother's apartment (when was saw the umbrella) when he was dating the roomate but didnt know it yet?

Yeah; he saw her foot, I seem to recall.
