Alright, I know CSI has never been a popular discussion show here. But, I thought I would bring this up for the few longtime fans still watching. This is the 1st of the final 2 episodes with Marg Helgenberger. Her final episode is next week.

Nice little tribute to Catherine:

Little write up about Elisabeth Shue joining the show. Her 1st episode is February 15th

Talk about an overacting job from Marg. Wow..

Damn, that was intense. I had no idea it was a two parter. That bummed me out at the end.

I was disappointed that Nick figured out the super bugs. I figured it would have been a perfect "in" for Grissom to make a cameo given that it's Marg's final episode(s).

Intense indeed, it's been a LONG time that i felt like this for a csi episode. They are really doing a great job for her last episodes. Hope they can keep it up for part two.

supposedly high speed low drag operators with easy to control, compact, low recoil, accurate, and full auto sub machine guns (or what ever a P90 is officially classified as) and they give Catherine what amounts to a warning shot

at least they didn't talk about how rare 5.7 ammo is like the episode where they first dealt with the truck load of P90s

I am still 100000% on board with Danson. He has been a great addition to the show, brought back the quirkiness that was missing when Fishburne was on board.

I also thought we'd get a Gil cameo with the super-bugs.

This episode was pretty intense - agree on the overacting by Helgenberger. Can we get to the Shue episodes already?

YES! I wasn't someone who had an issue with Fishburne, but after a half season of D.B. it's clear that the Ray role was just too dark and subdued. The show needs that light/quirky lead to balance out all the dark/dreary plots. Danson has been phenomenal.

Since we're reminiscing, I'd still much rather have Wendy in the field than this new blonde chick (for whom I still can't recall her name).

I have to agree as well. I was pissed when I first heard about it but man I really like him on this show.

I can't believe how old Marge looks!! She is in her mid 40's I think but man she looks old.

Marg is actually 53. I still think she looks pretty good for her age.

Anyways, I finally saw this last night and wow, this was an intense episode indeed. I agree that Marg sort of over-acted in that scene where she saw her friend and Grant Show burnt to a crisp. But, that shootout at her house was insane. It was pretty badass to see Catherine bust out the gun, but too bad she didn't hit anyone. And of course D.B. comes to the rescue.

yeah, say what you will about Marg's acting, but she looks GREAT for her age.

And i miss Wendy a LOT. Ecklie's daughter is meh.

Wow, great episode this week. Dark and intense stuff. I kind of liked Grant Show's stint on this show...

I didn't think it was a very good episode.

I mst have missed something but I couldn't figure it who was in the cars that were set on fire or blown up or whatever happened to them.

I got lost I think rigt after Marg walked past the fake FBI woman, next thing I know is the cars were all burned up.

Was the woman who was hiding from her husband in that burned up car?

Anyway the show seemed rushed and too much was crammed into the timeframe of the episode and I lost track of what was going on.

Her friend went into protective custody because she was the only survivor of that hit on her cousin's house. The hit on them happened off camera and that's when Catherine and DB received the phone call about it.

And Yes, Catherine's friend was killed along with the FBI agent who became friendly with her in the previous episode. When Catherine looked inside to see the charred remains, the camera zoomed to her finger and you saw her wedding ring.

Ted Danson has always been. I can't watch this show because of the corpses in it (ewww) but from Cheers to Becker to whatever he's in Danson is always wonderful.

Possible
Spoiler:

It's important to note that other than the FBI guy's badge and the friend's ring, the bodies were otherwise unidentifiable.

Thanks DJ, I did pick up on most of that but guess I didn't understand who all this people in the two or was it three burned out cars were supposed to be.
I guessed it was the woman from the hospital bed but not who anyone else was.
It didn't make sense to me also as soon as Catherine realized she saw the fake FBI woman what did she do? Did she try to call someone or just rush out?

Just me I suppose, this episode didn't compute.

I hadn't watched the show in a few years but tuned in to see how they were going to get rid of Catherine.
I was splendidly surprised at how good the show is with the addition of Danson.
Anyone who questions Hellgenburger acting need only watch her on China Beach.
If you can find it.
