It's OnDemand, not bad so far but setting it in modern times threw me off. Norman has an iphone and uses a macbook, who knew?

I'm guessing budget dictated that the show be set in present day. Still would have been cool to have it set in the past.

I'll be happy when it premieres simply so I don't have to see it before EVERY movie I see at the theater!

This is a re-imagining of the character, correct? So it's not like it's a prequel to PSYCHO. It's more in the vein of SHERLOCK.

Yup it is. Vera Farmiga and one of the producers made similar statments in interviews. I also see it being in the same vein as Smallville.
