No Spoilers, but generally does the quality of the series continue? Or does it turn into a Heroes style mess? (Where the first season was good, and everything goes down hill after that).

Just know that season 4 is probably regarded as one of the best reviewed seasons of the series ever.

3, 5 and 6 the opinions are sort of mixed from the commentary here.

I very much loved S5.
S3 is also good, gets better on repeat viewing.
Didnt like S6.

But any season of Dexter >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any season of heroes.

Thanks guys, looks like I'm in for the long haul.

We are about 4-5 episodes into the 2nd season, we are trying to finish 2 seasons before it leaves On Demand (1/3/12)

I disagree. Season 1 of Heroes is phenomenal and way better than seasons 2, 3, 5, and 6 of Dexter. The rest of that series is pure garbage though.

Comparing Dexter to Heroes is blasphemy -- they shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. The worst episode of Dexter still dominates over the best of Heroes.
