Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
I just saw the commercial for this show during Man Up. Looks like a Bosom Buddies remake to me.
Two guys who work in sales dress like women but to get a job instead of a place to live. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1826951/ Except for Rebecca Mader I don't know any of these actors. |
Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
That doesn't sound ANYTHING like Bosom Buddies...
|
Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
Does to me. They pretend to be women to get jobs, only difference is in Buddies they needed a place to live.

Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
Trust me, noone in this forum will watch this. 100% guaranteed.

Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
Probably right, but since it looks similar to Bosom Buddies to me I thought I'd post it.

Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
I'm glad to see the guy from Prison Break got another gig but this show looks painfully bad.

Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
Centers on two unemployed car salesmen who realize that they are living in a woman's world |
Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
I know you guys kept saying Busom Buddies, but I kept thinking "Perfect Strangers" in my head and was about to post "They sound nothing alike!"
I'm so happy I came to my senses I did The Dance of Joy! |
Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
The only time a guy pretending to be a woman was ever funny was Tootsie.
|
Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
Really? This show deserved it's own thread?

Don't forget Ann Coulter! |

Wait, aren't you even gonna give it a shot? I thought you checked out everything at least once.
I watch alot of shit, but I draw the line with Fernando Sucre as a cross dresser to get a fucking job. I will be shocked if someone actually bumps this thread next month. |

Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
Someone is petitioning to get this off the air. Link: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/ABC-NO-WORK-IT/ The author claims the show could "contribute to transgender discrimination and murders". Murders? Really? I'd tend to think anyone with enough hatred to actually murder someone simply for dressing like a woman is probably already filled with that hatred, with or without this show.
Either way, it seems like a waste of time considering the show will probably be canceled before February. |
Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
ABC is delaying Cougar Town for this?

It is more like Bosom Buddies to ME than any sort of original idea for a new sitcom. The just skewed it to include to weak economy and job market instead of housing.

Off the air by Valentine's Day.

Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
It's definitely a dupe of bosom buddies. Just sub the job for the hotel.
This show is all kinds of terrible. What Doctor office would allow a visit after discovering his insurance lapsed without telling him the insurance was expired? Terrible so I expect this show to last for years. Also I think every scene had a person walk into it through a door instead of just coming in from another room. |

Let me guess... there's a scene where some womanizer guy is overzealously hitting on them, in a "not taking no for an answer" sort of way, even though the guy isn't doing the same for the marginally attractive (but still far more attractive than the cross dressing guys) girls nearby.

Re: Work It -ABC premier Jan '12 -
Maybe they're saving that innovative plot device for episode 2. :)
