FYI, if your CBS affiliate is getting the Baltimore/Cleveland game, it's running long. You will have to pad.

I've always felt that the team that won the most races (unless there's a tie) in a season should automatically earn a spot in the final three. Too bad.

It's too bad that the taxi drivers saved two teams from a grave mistake.

Maybe, but it was Ernie and Cindy's cabbie who seemed to know where to go so who knows if Jeremy and Sandy would have gotten lost.

Not sorry to see Andy and Tommy go.

Rough way to go out for the snowboarders.

What a cheap, bullshit elimination.

Hey, at least they got customized Mustangs that they can drive to the movies and see The Adventures of Tintin. What was that URL again?

No kidding. Two of the final 3 teams didn't even solve the final puzzle. What a joke.

I like all the teams at this point, so I'm fine with any final three, but it's awful that the snowboarders got out like that--especially when two other teams were given the last clue without them even realizing it.

I always root for the strongest team to make the final leg, but those guys deserved to be instantly eliminated when they didn't know who Charlie Chaplin was.

It's pretty shitty though when a major contributing factor to your elimination is constantly being ahead of the other teams.

And though I'm generally cool with how everything turned out, the sharing of answers thing really annoyed me. It's revisiting the worst aspect of last season all over again.

Wow, not a way I would like to see a team eliminated. I guess the snowboarders needed a cabbie with friends.

Ernie and Cindy have been the second strongest team but usually make a mistake each leg and could have been eliminated this leg without the cabbies help. That gives an opening for the other two teams to pull out the win.

Its probably the first time they're don't have a reason to complain about the taxi drivers during the race.

LOL yet somehow the cab drivers in Atlanta will MORE then make up for it when it comes to misunderstandings.

Its called the "Curse of winning a car on a reality game show".

You always get eliminated next somehow.

 at how they were all cheering knowing the guys were in last.

Did they have any FFs at all this season? That used to be a key strategic part of the game and they've completely phased them out (I guess due to production expense). Lame.

I think the "Express Pass" took the place of the "Fast Forward".

Re: The Amazing Race 19 -- "We Are Charlie Chaplin" -- 12/04/11

At two points in this leg cab drivers interfered with the game. This should not be allowed. All the cabs seem to have been readied by the producers -- how hard is it for them to instruct the cab drivers to not share information with other drivers? Now if the racers themselves want their cab driver to share info with another cab driver, fine. But they should not be allowed to make that decision themselves.

It really taints the entire race when the best team this year is eliminated by what is essentially cheating by two other teams.

Yeah, but only one team can try to use that -- and it doesn't involve a separate challenge. I thought the express pass just allows you to skip over something.

They can instruct them whatever but the cabbies don't have to listen to them. If anything, instructing them would be interfering with the game.

I think they knew who Charlie Chaplin was. After they said that they tried Buster Keaton and I think Harold Lloyd. They just did not know who Johnson and Thompson were.

Did I miss something or did the three winning teams give different answers as to who they were supposed to be? I'll have to rewatch, but I swear they were all different.

Groucho 12-05-11 04:42 PM

Re: The Amazing Race 19 -- "We Are Charlie Chaplin" -- 12/04/11

As stated by Phil, there were three different correct answers (depending on what language you're reading it in). There are actually several more than just the three (Johnson and Jonson is conspicuously absent):
