Looks like the end of the world/rosemary's baby anti christ theories were correct. Pretty decent episode but it felt like not a whole lot happened compared to usual.

Yeah, that is upsetting. Hopefully she will pop up again. Is there a reason she is able to look older than when she died but all the other ghosts remain the same age as when they died? Also, what controls when the ghosts come out? For example, what caused the black dahlia girl to suddendly start appearing?

As for the second question, I was wondering the same thing. So strange the black dahila came out and I don't even think that story of how she died is true. But I DID enjoy that scene the maid and her had ha ha.

They appear to us because it's convenient to the story. They may all be randomly appearing "off screen" as well. We only see characters when needed.

Basically this is how we can have a Season 2, 3, etc.
So, last night we confirmed that Ben is not dead. But he has superpowers since he was shot and nothing happened to him. Or is that something they will explain later?

I totally forgot he was shot. Can you refresh my memory on this.

Vivian was sitting in her bedroom with a gun very paranoid and scared. She shot Ben (on accident) when he ran into the room after hearing her screams.

For some reason, I was thinking of the burned man. Ben got shot, it went through him, and he got taped up. Don't see the big deal in that.

Maybe that scene in the mental institution was just a daydream? The staff said she was being restrained but she wasnt restrained when Constance visited her.

I don't try too hard to make sense of everything on this show, and just enjoy the bizarre ride.
However, it bugs me that Ben doesn't react when Hayden appears alive and unharmed, even after he personally buried her in the back yard with a cracked skull and built a concrete foundation for the gazebo on top of her.

Yeah, I thought I missed like a key convo about that or something. Dude saw her die and he doesn't freak out when he sees her now. F'n strange. Hopefully seeing the hot maid turn into the old maid will wake the dumbass up. So sick of guys being so damn dumb when it comes to hauntings (amityville horror, paranormal activity, etc).
Because those types of hauntings don't exist.

Doesn't he think that Larry (the burned guy) didn't really kill her. Maybe he thinks they are working together against him. He should just pay him the $1000 to go away.

Yeah, he researched Larry (burned guy) and found out that he lied to him about several things. So he thinks Larry set him up about thinking that he killed Hayden.

what's up with the use of 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' movie music being used in the series - it's just odd and makes it feel out of place for some reason.

I hope Suvari as the Dahlia shows up a lot more on this show. Having both the actress and the character show up on the show as an unexpected treat.
Hayden kicks all kind of ass as a ghost. Mara's really great in that role.

Where the heck was the daughter throughout this whole thing, with her mom being admitted to a mental institution?

So he never asked Hayden about being dead? Just seems like I missed something, which I might, cause I believe the epsiode after Halloween or the one after that was pretty awful and hard to watch.

Interesting tidbit on Mena Suvari from EW.com. "Her guest appearance as the Black Dahlia on American Horror Story last night brings the grand total of “American” entries on her resume to six: American Pie, American Beauty, American Virgin, American Pie 2, American Horror Story, and American Reunion."

Am I the only one that thinks this show is absolutely terrible but can't look away like a train wreck?
