Homeland Question

SPOILERS UPTO EPISODE 6 BELOW !

Hi guys, i don't want any spoilers but i have stopped watching Homeland at the scene that Claire Danes hooked up with the 'target' guy in his car.

I just need a yes or no answer

Is this a jump the shark moment for the show ?

I just thought it was so ridiculous i couldn't bring myself to watch any more. Now i have 3-4 episodes banked up

Re: Homeland Question

No.

It honestly didn't come off that ridiculous to me. Also, you'd be missing out on a fantastic show if you stopped watching just because you didn't like this one part.

Re: Homeland Question

It wasn't ridiculous at all if you understand Danes' character.
The show only got better from there.

Re: Homeland Question

jump the shark? no way. it only leads to an even more awesome situation in the next episode or two.

Re: Homeland Question

Without the scene in the car then the cabin scene couldn't take place, which was a very important part of the story as it began to generate trust. Now whether that trust was justified or not you'll need to watch the past episodes to catch up.

Re: Homeland Question

I saw the first episode and missed the second and saw the 3rd and I just wasn't into it. My parents on the other hand love it.

Re: Homeland Question

There's a kick-ass moment from Brody in the very next episode that directly follows from that scene.

As everyone else just said, No. Outside of Larry C, everyone here who has been commenting in the Homeland threads loves the show.

Keep watching. The show is riveting TV each week.

I want to clarifiy I did not say it jumped the shark. I really really wanted to get into this show. I don't know what it is. Maybe cause I've never been a Claire Danes fan or maybe because I find Damian Lewis very boring.

The show is very well written and the storylines are tight I just can't get myself to care about anyone on the show.

Re: Homeland Question

Pretty hard to get into any serialized show if you skip episodes.

Re: Homeland Question

Desmond - this is the best new show on TV. 9 episodes in and not a bad one in the lot.

Re: Homeland Question

Well this last one was kind of weak. It still advanced the story but in a sideways manner. It just didn't hold all of my interest.

Re: Homeland Question

This is my favorite show on TV right now. Gotta be ready for this to take over when Breaking Bad is done.

This will win Best Drama at the Emmy's and Damian Lewis will win Best Actor in Drama (unless he is put up for Supporting Actor, although Mandy Patinkin could be up for that too)
