Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Burnt and Purged Away" -- 11/22/11

To clarify, I havent seen an episode yet as Im wiaiting till the end of the season to start, but why is there a huge FX love fest for this show. Has any show ever gotten so many 1.5 hr eps and an extra ep added to a single season?

Its just weird withj the huge shit fest of last season

Simple explanation, it's currently FX's highest rated show. As long as it keeps pulling in the ratings, Kurt Sutter will get his 7 seasons.

I assume your going to marathon all 14 hours, so I hope you haven't touched the previous 11 threads.

Um, it's their highest rated show, by far. Was this a serious question that you actually couldn't somehow figure out the answer to on your own?

Jesus.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Burnt and Purged Away" -- 11/22/11

Great episode!

Spoiler:
As much as I loved the ending (and I'm posting this before next week's preview), I hope Jax did warn Clay and he had the Kevlar on. That was just too cool and ending to waste.

And they can't go with the tried and true way to get rid of Wendy. I'm guessing they force a relapse and she'll never see Abel again.

Holy Shit!

He may have had a vest on but I did see blood. That may have been his shoulder. It happened so quick.

They looked like they were both in the chest and there was blood from both of them.

With all the people going down, i predict it will end up Happy as president and the Fat Prospect as VP.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Burnt and Purged Away" -- 11/22/11

A decent episode. (aside from the baby factory detour)

So the club is now basically Tigg, Happy, Chibs and fat prospect? Everyone else seems to be dead, under arrest, or leaving the club.

Maybe they'll patch Unser in as a season 5 storyline?

On a side note for anyone interested FX is reairing the show late Wed nights (Thurs am) with 2-3 shows a week. I noticed this last week and I think they are about 5 or 6 shows into season 1.

Nope, both shots drew blood. Neither was in the shoulder, but one was off to the side below his shoulder. I'm sure he isn't dead.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Burnt and Purged Away" -- 11/22/11

Spoiler:
\Maybe Tara's hand will have a miraculous healing and she can operate on Clay to save his life.

Are we about to see if Clay has a heart?
What are Gemma's motivation in trying to steer Opie from his course?
Is Romeo going to make an attempt on Tara out of pride?
Will Charming Heights be the wrap up for the finale or the project for next season?
With ATF locking up Juice, is that to save him from the raid?
Poor Bobby, screwed by Luann and now Otto just before they die. He has no luck. But, maybe he will start his own list.
Why is Roosevelt so ineffectual? He's certainly no Unser.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Burnt and Purged Away" -- 11/22/11

with most of the club occupied, i wonder if there will be anyone at the warehouse to even get caught in the sting. Poor ATF, throw a raid and no one even shows up.

Well yea I know that. Its actually 3 more. But I mean...they need to end this chapter with Clay. I wouldnt mind 3 more years but if they start over with Jax leading I wouldnt mind that all too much. But the current stuff needs to be tied up.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Burnt and Purged Away" -- 11/22/11

Why is Juice still cooperating? Or is that some sort of misdirection?

I agree I wouldn't mind Clay being killed off & rebooting w/Jax & maybe Opie. Great actor & all but I just don't see any conceiveable way he stays on as leader of the club. And Bobby, just when the gavel seemed in sight...

Jax REALLY needs to find out that Clay tried to have Tara killed ASAP.

Lets hope it sticks since the whole season has been leading to Clay getting his ass killed. No way the club could go back to normal with him having done what he did.

Yea Im marathoning this whole sucker at the end. I look at the threads to see your countdown (which is great in all threads btw) and to make sure on time.

Thats great the ratings are so good and Im glad its a set run of 7, it gives them something to stick to and knowing what to get out there story wise

I can't see myself watching this show once Clay dies. Jax is such a fucking pussy I can't stand it. And none of the other characters are half as interesting.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Burnt and Purged Away" -- 11/22/11

I finally caught up on the last 5 episodes. The start of the season had me holding my head in hands over the continued stupid plotholes and crappy B-plots. After the last 5 episodes the season has moved from "this is crap" to a firm "meh." So I guess that's an improvement. Hopefully the finale will be as awesome as the Season 3 finale, which almost redeemed a truly awful season.
