OK, so I'm a bit confused about Tate....he was killed by a SWAT team after he shot up his school, right? I always thought he was ghost. Tonight's episode made it seem like he was real.

I was all excited to see True Blood's Denis O'Hare (Russell!) on the show, only to find that he's been on there the whole time and I just never noticed. D'oh.
Really liked this episode, but Constance politely requesting that Larry finish off the potential home buyer away from the murder house so he doesn't set up residence there really cracked me up
I would watch this show just for Jessica Lange & Frances Conroy. Everything else is just a bonus.

What are you confused about?
Also...does anyone know what the song was at the end?

I guess I'm wondering if Constance is paying Ben to provide therapy for a ghost. Does he not realize Tate is a ghost?

He doesn't seem to know he's a Ghost.

Denis O'Hare was great in this episode. Also Marcy the realtor cracks me up with her rape fears. I also liked Lily Rabe in this episode even though she had short screen time. She has been great on AHS and she was good on Medium. I hope she does more TV and movie work.

I thought the flashback stuff with the baby was fantastically done. Loved that they didn't show anything.

Great, great episode. I'm loving how they are setting up all the ground rules.
We can now confirm that if you die(are killed?) in the house your ghost stays in the house. So if you don't want your victim to stay you have to take him outside before he/she dies.
The burned guy is not a ghost. But it seems he killed and left the girl there in purpose, so her ghost could haunt the husband, right?
Also, the previous from last week showed a scene in the house, not in bed, between Vivien and Luke (the security guy) and they didn't show that last nigh. I think.
Oh and from the previews:
I can't wait!

Great episode.
Wow, so much crazy stuff
Vivien masturbating in that opening scene, the crazy backstory with Larry and what really happened to his family, and the maid biting off the Armenian's guys dick, what more could you ask for in a weekly thriller series?
at Marcy's Homo remark and the comment about rape.
So did Constance ask Larry to smother that deformed son or was that Larry's own doing? I love how Constance continues to play mind games with everyone.

I love this show, it's my favorite hour long show airing new episodes right now. Now with that said, how in the world could they keep this series going past a season or so? Don't get me wrong, I hope they keep up with the great entertaining episodes, but I'm not sure how that is going to work in the long run.

Anyone know where I can find a list of the music nods used this season? I recognized Bram Stoker's Dracula, Psycho, and Kill Bill. What are some of the others?

I'm loving this. As we learn more I guess we're finding out that Constance isn't really "bad" as we were supposed to think early on. She's just someone that wants to be close with her entire family that seems to have been brutally murdered one way or another. I just don't get why she just doesn't buy the house herself though.
I agree that we just need to enjoy it while it's good because I get the feeling that it'll fall sharply next season. It seems that they're throwing so much stuff out there this season that they can't possibly sustain it.
With that said, the smart thing would be to either have the family move out and start over with a new family. This allows them to keep the ghosts and neighbors. Or kill the family off and have them be ghosts next season. The only issue I have with that right now is that I can't see how they can do anything without rehashing everything.
Either that or gut the whole thing and do something completely different next year.
They did. During the masturbating scene you can see her fantasizing about him. I wish there was a quick flash of her fantasizing about Kyle Chandler.

This is my thought as well. American Horror Story is as generic a title as you can get. Why not make it an anthology that runs by season? It's more than possible, I guess the only issue would be changing it so much content wise that you run the risk of losing people that liked the initial premise. I'm very curious to see how they handle it.

While I would be all for it, I just think the House will remain the main location.
Maybe they'll do a prequel. Something to really flesh out what happened before.
