So I'm guessing the dark passenger is different than his dad.

I think they should be thanking Quinn for sleeping with the Gellar's former assistant in the last episode. Him going "undercover" allowed Batista to find the book of Gellar's drawings when he came over to pick up Quinn.

Hell of an episode. This season just took a turn I didn't expect. This season is about to get nuts.

Dexter might have just reclaimed the throne as best show on tv.

Amazingly good episode!!! This season was off to a great start but it looks as though it's going to get even better in the coming weeks. The end with
Spoiler:
Brian
was really cool to see and I can't wait to see how it plays out.

Also it appears as though
Spoiler:
Jonah may have picked up where his father left off?
Interesting twist there either way this is becoming one of the best seasons this show has had.

Re: Dexter -- "Just Let Go" -- 11/06/11

I think Gellar has to be a hallucination. I don't see how he could out walking around in public with Travis in broad daylight when his face is all over the newspapers as a suspected serial killer. Somebody would have to notice him.

Wonder if Travis/Gellar is going to get a hold of Angel's sister at some point.

Regarding the promo for next week:

Spoiler:
Jonah says "Dexter Morgan" when he meets Dexter. I don't recall him ever learning "Kyle Butler's" true identity.

At first I thought it was dodgy that Jonah would start killing with his father's MO since it would make him into a suspect, but then I remembered that the Trinity Killer is still out there as far as everyone knows (except, of course, Dexter). And Jonah doesn't fit into the pattern because Trinity's fourth victim (make child) isn't known and Jonah wouldn't fit the kill pattern so his being spared isn't suspicious.

They all but confirmed that Gellar is a hallucination with the "my brother Travis is a great artist" scene, when it is Gellar who has been doing the painting this season.

I hope not. We've already been through stories where the detectives get personally involved with a killer coming after their loved ones.

I looked up that actress (Aimee Garcia) on imdb ... I can't believe she's 32 (turning 33 in a couple of weeks)! I thought it seemed odd that her character appeared so much younger than Batista. But it turns out the actors are only 9 years apart in age.

Re: Dexter -- "Just Let Go" -- 11/06/11

That was one sick episode.

Sucks that Brother Sam bit the dust. I thought Mos Def was so good in his appearances this season.

Loved that killing Nick triggered Dexter's real dark passenger with Brian. I have to wonder now if Brian's going to lead Dexter down a much darker road with this kills.

I was a little surprised that Travis released the girl near the end of the episode. Obviously he's a very conflicted man, especially with the Gellar alter ego pressuring him. And I wonder if Gellar is going to bring up his sister again.

at Batista punching Quinn at Deb's party.

so, in that little promo for next week's episode are they implying that
Spoiler:
the trinity killer's son has taken over the title?

Wow that was a great episode. Most likely the best episode since season four. I didn't see that ending coming at all, and I was beyond stoked to see it happen. I'm already freaking out and ready for next week. Best show on TV. This season started a tad slow, but clearly its paying off, big time.

Not even close. It never had it to begin with.

Good episode with thankfully very little of the silly religious duo.
This season is still far from when the show's at it's best, but the ending redeemed a lot and next weeks preview look great.

Amazing episode.

I hope they do something with Bautista's sister other than have her prance around in skimpy clothes all the time. Not that I'm complaining but I hope she becomes an integral part of the story.

I thought the hot blonde apprentice working with Vince would've stumbled onto something about Dexter, but I get a feeling the nerdy male apprentice will be that person.

If I may, may I ask in your opinion what has the title. I love Dexter but no to me it wouldn't have that title either. I've always said "breaking bad", but I don't want to hijack the thread, but i was just wondering.
I would say to me this was the best episode since the season 1 finale. Even better than the ending to season 3.

Re: Dexter -- "Just Let Go" -- 11/06/11

During season 1 and 4 I thought Dexter was the best show on TV. Breaking Bad took over during it's rocking season 4 but that's over now. And with the strong season so far I think Dexter is taking the title back. The only show that gets great reviews that I don't watch is Boardwalk Empire, so that might be better, I don't know.

But hey, you know what they say about opinions and assholes.

I do think Dexter is up there, i thought Brother Sams speech to Dexter was one of the best moments i've seen on television since Jesse's hospital rant in Season 3 of BB.

I'm loving this season of Dexter, and this week's episode really kicked it into high gear. But for me, the best show currently airing on television is Homeland. It's been one knockout week after another. I hope it can keep it up. Having it follow Dexter makes for one awesome night of TV (not to mention catching Boardwalk Empire later on).

Re: Dexter -- "Just Let Go" -- 11/06/11

Why would stupid ass Quinn walk into the interrogation room where they were talking to the chick he slept with after Bautista told him to stay the fuck away???

I hate when characters do something so mind numbingly stupid without any decent explanation for what they were hoping to achieve....
