Congrats to Paul, glad to see that he won. Did look like Sarah put out a fantastic meal as well though. So funny that she picked that one guy from the start of the season, and telling him he was not going to butcher any meat for her.

So glad that Paul won. The only thing that would've made it sweeter is if Beverly had been on Paul's team. I thought for sure he was in trouble when neither of the Asian chefs (Bev and Ed) were up for selection given how Asia-centric Paul's menu is.

Glad Paul won, seemed like they were leaning towards Sarah based on that service, but I'm guessing they were thinking about the season as a whole as well. I still can't believe she made the finals with that frozen mousse, Lindsay's fish must have been worse than they were saying. Was she eating at the restaurant? I saw Bev, but not her.

Good finale- happy for Paul - he seems pretty nice and humble about it.
It was interesting how Sarah was almost able to hand pick her team based off of what they prepared. With the exception of Tyler that was hilarious.

Paul!
Very glad he won and that the one round of dishes didn't cost him. I agree Sarah's meal seemed outstanding, and it's hard to evaluate based on the comments we see, but the last set of judges' comments seemed to prefer Paul's meal slightly. And they never said so, but I'd expect them to factor in the whole season.
at Sarah picking Tyler. I would assume his dish was not horrible or Sarah wouldn't have made that error. It was funny to see the master left among the few still on the schoolyard, but maybe he should have made a better salmon.
I wonder what went into selecting the sous chef candidates since they ranged from first out (Keith) to 11th (Grayson) (plus the random rejects, of course). For a second, I thought they were going to waste time on the sous chefs competing against each other, then the winners joining the finalists, but this way worked out fine.
I'll tune in for the reunion even with that imbecile hosting.

I actually really liked the way they picked their teams this year. Much better than just drafting.

I never saw what exactly Canora was cooking but many chefs view salmon as an easy to prepare ingredient so it wasn't likely to wow anyone.

Saw the reunion and found Andy Cohen less annoying than last year--maybe they told him to tone it down. Thought it was overall fine, nothing very compelling. Nothing flat-out dumb except the Gail Simmons thing.
No surprise that Malibu runs away with the fan favorite with 63 million points (I don't know how they were compiled--just found the results online). Grayson was second with 52 million, then it drops to Paul with 25, Beverly 17, etc.

I had no idea he was that popular... is it just because of his looks? Because aside from all the women on the show having the hots for him, nothing about his personality or cooking made much of an impression on me.

I'd say it's because of the demographic of the audience and the fact that we can't really judge their cooking.

Random bump for you. Just had Cash Cab on in the background, while I was using my computer. The people get on and the host asks their names. One of the people says her name was Grayson. Just hearing this, I think "Must be the person from 'Top Chef.'" Only then did I look up at the screen and see yes, it actually was actually her
To confirm I wasn't going crazy, I googled Grayson "Top Chef" "Cash Cab" and was taken to her facebook page, where someone recently asked if she was on "Cash Cab," and she confirmed it. That interaction took place on Thursday, so it's possible it's a very new ep that's in current rotation.

I'm guessing that episode you saw was a repeat because Cash Cab was cancelled last week.
