I am very tired of TC constantly getting ripped (it's even worse on chow). I agree that this isn't their best season, far from it, but I still find it enjoyable TV. And for all the people constantly ripping it, for fuck's sake nobody's forcing you to watch it, just stop watching already.
The challenge with Charlize Theron was actually a surprise. It was a great challenge and it was great to see all the chefs get into it.

Not too surprised to see Grayson go, she was likeable, but pretty forgettable as far as her offerings so far.
I liked Pee Wee as a guest judge, but thought the rules of the challenge were a little too muddled and hacked up.

You'd think they would put a little more care into the episode that determines the finalists, but you'd be wrong.

Ed was gone the minute he fessed up to canned oysters. I'm surprised Tom didn't cane him right then and there. Hopefully Beverly can put the beat-down on those two, scarily attached to their mentors, beeotches. I also never realized what an exalted place woks held in the eyes of esteemed chefs.

I was so disappointed Sarah won the quickfire and she selected immunity, and then I was really hoping Lindsay would be sent packing.
It was pretty foolish of Ed to use "canned" oysters, though, when we've seen previous contestants sent home for similar decisions.
I hope Paul wins, or if not him then Beverly.

Totally baffled at Ed using canned smoked oysters. He deserves to leave since he wasn't able to think out of the box when the store didn't have fresh oysters. I also didn't like his comment that Bev knocked him out. He knocked himself out with a bonehead decision.
And Sarah should have taken the car. If she didn't make it in the finale, she'd at least have a new set of wheels to take her back home.

I think everyone kind of knew as soon as he grabbed the canned oysters it was game over.

I was really hoping Paul was gonna say 'here - you go in with the key - just for a laugh'. Then Sarah would have had a heart attack/stroke and we at least get a chuckle.

No surprise at all here. They took the idea from Survivor, with redemption island, and survivor have I think canned that for this next season.
I'm rooting for Paul, I like him, he does good stuff and isn't all that cocky, Ed appeared way to cocky.
I will hate it if Beverly wins, but I don't think that will happen.

Why would they have immunity this late in the season...especially with a crazy quickfire where you are picking ingredients while blindfolded. It's almost asking for a random outcome as opposed to finding the best chef. If the quickfire is just for money, I have no issue with random challenges.
Was Sarah the only remaining chef who would have chosen immunity over the car (maybe Bev?). I think the 2 guys would have taken the car and Lindsay too.
I only caught a quick glimpse of the preview for next week, but it looked absolutely absurd (maybe it was just the quickfire challenge?)

Seriously, who the fuck is designing these challenges. This show has jumped the shark. Can you imagine if the finale was in hawaii and they had them juggle torches?

Challenges were definitely terrible. They have seem to run out of ideas and these challenges weren't related to cooking at all. That "biathalon" was just terrible.

Those challenges were absurd. Surprised to see Bev bite the dust, but just hoping Paul can win it.

I keep hoping for Sarah to get eliminated but she appears to be on a roll. Paul needs to pull it together for next week.

Um, Paul won the elimination challenge. Sarah is certainly cooking well, but it's not like Paul is choking.

True, but he was on a huge roll for a while when he was winning almost everything. This win seemed like the first one in a long time, at least by the standards he had set.

He won this week, last week he lost the first "game" but won the second (I'll count that as a "did not win"), he won the week before, did not win the week before, and won the 2 weeks before that. He's won 4 of the last 6 elimination challenges.

I guess he's doing better than I thought. Maybe it's just the shock of seeing Sarah winning anything that makes it seem like he's losing.

Definitely going for Paul, the only thing I can think is that Sarah's cooking must be really good because her confidence sure is not. It seems like she is always going to lose but somehow avoids elimination.
