It returns tonight, 10/8/15, but it is not on TruTV. I love this show. I've only seen clips, but is this show really just him running around and surprising people with ridiculous questions in that intense manner? Couldn't stand this guy when he was on Parks and Rec.

Billy on the Street has been renewed for a fifth season, truTV announced at the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Thursday. Billy Eichner’s comedy quiz show, in which he basically screams questions at unsuspecting New Yorkers, brought in a myriad of famous faces in season 4, including Chris Pratt, Sarah Jessica Parker and Julianne Moore. The 10-episode fifth season will return in late 2016. |

A lot of the previous seasopn was clips that were filmed at least 2 years before they aired.
Seemed like only the the stuff with the celebs was recently filmed. Anyway It's funny for about 5 or 6 shows than I've had enough. |

Billy and the premise does wear thin, but i still enjoy it for the most part and the guest stars bring something good.

Billy Eichner’s cult hit “Billy on the Street” — which was just nominated for an Emmy — will not return to TruTV, a source exclusively tells Page Six. The show has featured celebs such as Olivia Wilde, Paul Rudd and Sarah Jessica Parker. But another source explains, “The show is not going away” completely. “It’s just going to be distributed differently.” The insider added of the show and its host, “It’s always evolved. He’s doing so many acting projects, he doesn’t have time to devote to full episodes. They’re figuring out a way to do it.” Produced by Funny or Die, the show aired on Fuse from 2011-2014 for its first three seasons, moving to truTV in 2015 for Seasons 4 and 5. Season 5 concluded back in January. Busy Eichner also stars in Hulu’s “Difficult People,” Netflix’s “Friends From College” and FX’s “American Horror Story.” |
