I certainly wouldn't call that funniest half hour ever of TV but it might have been one of the smartest.

 @ Creed's costume and Dwight using California's son to "fire" Toby.

I really enjoyed this episode, especially California's story at the end.

California's meandering yet intense story.

Yeah, that was a good episode; very creative. I really like Robert California and I appreciate what they're doing with his character, specifically how they're using him to advance the other characters, pushing them to grow and develop. Very nicely done.

Awesome story from California. Erin looked great as Wendy.

Why did California's son look familiar?

Odd. UVerse skipped right over this episode.

Great episode. Loved California's story at the end.

And loved Dwight's costume :)

I agree completely.

"On this day of fantasy, you dressed as a laborer."

I think that may be my favorite line of the entire series. It was the first time I actually had to pause the show because I was laughing so hard. While the series as a whole isn't as good as it once was, I'm really enjoying the Robert California character.

The guy definitely calls it like he sees it and Spader nailed the line.

I also loved when Andy, Erin and California were in his office and California sees it's a personal issue and decides to leave the conversation, but not the office.

My favorite part of the episode. What was it she said? "The game of cards that make you hard"?

Yup. "Pecker Poker, the game of cards that makes you hard." The way she hesitated and cringed on "hard" was priceless, like she was about to burst into tears.

I haven't really been feeling it for this show so far this season, but I thought this episode was alright. Spader is pretty good in his role, and usually makes the show better when he's on it. But the overall vibe has been weird all season long for me, especially when they give Andy scenes filled with lines obviously written with Micheal in mind, or in some way, trying to make him another Michael - ie, the early scene where he is giving approval for everyone's costumes.

I did like the reveal that Andy has been dating someone, unbeknown to Erin (and the rest of us), especially since they haven't made that a centerpoint of any plots up until now. I thought that was a refreshing move on the show's part, that a main character can have a private life that isn't part of the "documentary." Much more believable, in my opinion.

I also laughed quite a bit at Dwight's past costumes - the Billy doll from Saw and Pinhead from Hellraiser (with Toby making him take his pins out) were pretty hilarious.

Overall, this was the best episode of what has been a pretty weak start to the season, IMO.

Given that we know how much Andy wants to please Robert, the costume reviews made sense to me for Andy.

I'm ho-hum on the season so far, but this episode was good. The weird story from Robert was great, especially at the very end. "Baby, are you okay? Baby sat up slowly, turned to mother and said, I'm fine bitch. I'm fine." Then Jim stares at the camera with the WTF? look on his face.

I still think the opening episode was the best so far with the list of losers and winners. Last night's episode was ok.

I only continue to watch because my wife insists that we do... but last night she said "maybe it's time we give up on this awful show."

Exactly what you want in a sitcom -rolleyes- Maybe NBC should use this quote in a promo.

Loved California talking to Kelly and Toby. Thought it was a good episode, best since the season premiere.

I have to pause this show multiple times because I get so damn uncomfortable. I still enjoy it though.
