Synopsis:

Spoiler:
When Benjamin (guest star Wentworth Miller) suddenly collapses after making a rare and generous donation, House and Dr. Chi Park are convinced that his extreme altruistic behavior may indicate a deeper medical disorder. With no definitive explanation for Benjamin's loss of consciousness and unresponsiveness to treatment, House pushes just the right buttons to recruit former prison doctor Jessica Adams to volunteer her time and expertise to the case. Benjamin then makes a bold but life-threatening offer that could save another life, and the team must diagnose his disorder before he puts his own life on the line. Meanwhile, Adams and Park test each other's outlook on generosity and gratitude, and Thirteen's guilt conflicts with her pursuit of personal happiness on an all-new "Charity Case" episode of HOUSE airing Monday, Oct. 17 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (HOU-803) (TV-14 D, L)

They should have had Wenworth Miller in prison with House. Have the whole season of him and House trying to plan an escape with help from the pretty female prison doctor. I would have loved it at least.

I guess they are waiting to use the long form credits until they have the whole new team in place so they can show the one group shot of them walking. Or else FOX just wants extra time for commercials. I see that the budget cuts haven't stopped the CGI internal body visualizations.

So Thirteen is out but Chase and Taub are coming back at some point? I haven't really been reading much about the behind the scenes on this show.

Loved this episode. And Odette Anabelle more than fills up the void left behind by Cameron and Thirteen.

Lastly, I forgot to comment on last week's thread that I thought it was absolutely hilarious that they cast Dr. Nguyen from Scrubs as Park's dad.

Re: House -- "Charity Case" -- 10/17/11

Park to Adams after getting the shoes:

"You want me to return these. Give them to someone, Wear them while you masturbate?" I laughed so hard after hearing that line. I had to rewind it several times to be sure I heard it right.

That was a hilarious episode. Some great lines from House.

at House giving the kid some lube after diagnosing that he was masturbating with his Mom's cream causing the rash.

Everytime I see Wentworth Miller I always think Michael Schofield. Kind of interesting that his over generosity was based off a thyroid condition.

Not sure I understood why House was using Park to fuck with Adams. When Adams was introduced in the premiere, I never got the impression that she was loaded.

Kind of a weird way to write out Thirteen. I will miss her, but Annable does make up for her loss.

Re: House -- "Charity Case" -- 10/17/11

My thoughts on this week's episode:

- Could call House's team this week the Hotties and the Nottie

- A good case in this one with a great patient that really seemed like something from the first couple of seasons of House

- a funny clinic scene! (I hope this season has more of those)

- Odette Anabelle (Dr. Adams) is an excellent addition to the team

- Charlyne Yi (Dr. Park) still sucks

- I will miss Thirteen and am also really disappointed that the series won't get to play out the Huntington's Disease storyline that had been set up with the character ever since her initial season (I saw it playing out as a season-finale one-main-character-dies type of thing but, alas, Olivia Wilde's film career has been taking off, and deservingly so)

.

This was a horrible sendoff for Thirteen. It felt rushed and rammed into the standard case plot formula, though on its own merits the episode worked for some reason because of sharp dialogue. Odette looks like a great addition to the cast.

I'm liking the nerdy girl a lot more than I thought I would. She's a great addition. And the lube scene had me

The character of Dr. Park is a good addition. But the actress seems to be overacting with the mouth twitches and peering over the glasses. Old people peer over their reading glasses. Young people are normally myopic and don't.

Yi was better this episode, mostly because she was set up in a good situation against Odette. Hopefully they keep that up, but she really needs a better hair cut.

Dr. Park went from bad acting with flat line reading in the previous episode to bad acting with ridiculously overacted line reading in this episode, so I guess she has some range.

If this is the final season of house (If), I can see 13 coming back as a patient or something

I'd rather they bring Cuddy back for the end. They haven't really addressed her absence at all other than "she quit" basically.

I predict that we'll see either one or both of Taub's babies as patients in a future episode.

Loved the Big Star cover at the end.
