Great episode. The lack of Chang probably contributed to that. I like Ken Jeong, but they've way overused him (especially last week).

My favorite moment was Shirley coming out of the kitchen with her mini pies only to find herself covered in Pierce's blood.

I didn't even notice he was missing.

You might want to spoiler the above. It's a pretty big spoiler for anyone that hasn't watched the show yet. You don't actually get that reveal until the season one finale.

Candy cigarettes

This was one of the best episodes they've done, very clever (reminded me of Run Lola Run) and the evil study group was great.

Chances they revisit the evil study group in the future? Obviously they like to go back to the popular episode well and that's just too good of a potential 30 minutes to leave hanging.

And yes, Troy's timeline was amazing.
I've been infatuated with her since he beginning but she has been extra amazing this season.

Anyone know what show they had on the tv at the very end? Might not have ben a real show.

Harmon's much more in depth response to the blog post and other comments about the episode and the one that preceded it:

That was good to read. Not because of the timeline continuity stuff, which I don't really care about so much, but the fact that Harmon seems aware that some fans were getting a bit jittery about the quality of the show after last weeks episode and seemed to understand without getting all defensive about it.

I'd have to check again but my first thought was that they were watching Inspector Spacetime.

Dan Harmon is just awesome. I wish he could teach Kurt Sutter a lesson on reacting to viewer criticism.

Re: Community -- "Remedial Chaos Theory" -- 10/13/11

Yeah, Harmon seems like a class act and someone who would objectively look at criticisms and try to better himself; contrast that with Sutter who is really just a big cry baby and hurls vulgarities at those who dare question his genius.

I wonder if for the DVD release they'll put the episodes in their intended order. And funny thing is, I sort of thought after reading the "theory" that perhaps Pierce was just talking about his sexual conquest all of the time, so while the continuity is a bit off, it isn't off so much that it makes the episode order illogical.

The evil universe ending was probably one of the funniest sequences ever in the history of this show. I was in hysterics during Abed's proposal to become an evil group, the felt goatees, and the plan to invade the prime universe. Singing "Evil Troy and Evil Abed" was icing on the cake.

Such a better episode than all of the prior ones from this season; yeah, the ending was great and I liked the randomness and execution of Troy needing a voicebox.

And yeah, Britta has been my fav from day one cuz Gillian Jacobs is awesome.

What a great episode and fine return to form for this season.

Dan Harmon posted some of the whiteboarding for the episode. It's interesting to see the evolution of the structure, and some of the ideas that were left out, like firecrackers, champagne cork, car alarm or police siren (caused by Chang):

AIC has an interview with Chevy Chase. (Not about this episode)

What sold it was Abed practicing his evil scowl while Britta was chewing him out.

Yep. Many different kinds too.
I loved those as a kid, especially the chocolate ones.

World Series (baseball, for you non-sports folks) is currently on. So, the networks are airing repeats to avoid new episodes from being overshadowed.
