I enjoyed it. Andy giving Darryl the business was good. The scene when Darryl and Andy are questioning Jim about his plan had me laughing out loud.

I've been loving this season. 3/3 in my opinion. Dwight trying not to react to Jim saying he was the strongest in the office had me rolling.

So in the cold open, what was the point of breaking the window if the sun roof was open? That sequence seemed odd to me. I was expecting it to be James Spader's car or something.

I liked this episode mostly because I work in an office/warehouse environment and deal with pallets of various paper types all week.

They should have had Chris Pratt cameo as the dog owner.

After a couple strong episodes to start the year, this one was abysmal. Hardly a laugh to be had.

Hate to agree with you, but not only was it generally not funny, I thought it was a bit too serious.

And did I miss something or did those people all win $100,000? If that's the case, who the hell quits their job after winning such a small sum of money?

What did the dude's tank top say? It was blurred out for me? Was that a local thing or national thing?

Yeah, I thought the same as both your points...

The only chuckle in this one was Dwight reacting to Jim's strongest man in the office ruse.

Re: The Office -- "Lotto" -- 10/06/11

I liked the episode. Had funny bits here and there.

I liked Oscar destroying the car window to save the dog, but he didn't want to take responsibility for the dog, so they put cardboard over the broken window and poked a few holes in it. One thing I didn't get about the opening sequence is that the car roof was open for them to pour the drink in, so it's not like the dog would have suffocated with the roof open? Maybe that was part of the joke?

Also, the quick camera pan to Stanley's reaction to his lunch being eaten was great.

And given the "investments" they made with their money, I fully expect them all to be back at the warehouse at the end of the season.

I do like how they're developing Andy into the manager role. He's clearly not perfect, but he did a good job of motivating Darryl while getting him past the bitterness of getting passed over for the job.

The stuff in the warehouse was out of character though. Why wouldn't Jim just ask Darryl the best way to move the stuff? I understand he wanted to hide the forklift disaster, but that was Dwight's fault anyways, so it's not like he'd take any blame for it.

So after federal taxes, you're talking about $65K each. That doesn't make any sense. You can fix your house, buy a new car, take a vacation with that money. But quit your job?

As a general rule, when I get nitpicky about stuff like this, it means I didn't care for whatever it was I was watching.

Re: The Office -- "Lotto" -- 10/06/11

Definitely the worst of the episodes so far this year. But the whole warehouse bit was somewhat entertaining. Erin & Kevin masterminding a plan together had me chuckling. Also laughed at the way Jim manipulated Dwight into volunteering.

The whole Andy/Daryl plot was lame.

Oh my freaking god, stop trying to make sense of the plot. It's a god damn sitcom. Every other episode we'll have people over analyzing the plot to death. Laugh if it's funny, move on if it's not. It doesn't need to make sense, that's part of the fun.

That was pretty awesome...until Jim went down to help out anyway. One, it defeated the point of tricking Dwight. Second, Dwight is dimwitted from time to time, but Jim not knowing to look for a palette jack? Come on, he's not that dumb.

Normally I'd agree, but the plot issues in this one were so bad that it pulled me out from even being able to focus on any comedy.

Everything about Kevin's plan was hilarious, from Erin telling him to drop it, to her frantic "You said you liked this idea! You said it!" to the execution.

Senor Loadenstein was pretty funny to me. Or however it's spelled. I didn't care much for the Andy and Daryl stuff either, and agree it was too serious.

I don't really care for how they're making Jim the unofficial straight manager and making Andy the official zany one. It used to be more fun when Jim was an underling not barking out orders all the time.
