Re: True Blood -- Season Finale -- "And When I Die" -- 9/11/11

It would have been nice for Sam to remind Mrs. Fortenberry that she actually still has living family - her own son, Hoyt! She should be happy he's not with Jessica anymore though it seems she probably doesn't know. Nor does she know that Tommy sold away the natural gas rights to her land.

So will next season pick up immediately after this finale? Or will it do a time jump?

If Tara is truly dead, then I think they could jump ahead some. Otherwise they would have to show how she gets saved. Of course they could end up doing a flashback like they did for Bill/Sophie Ann fight earlier this season.

Surprised at all the hate for this season as a whole, I thought it was really good. Definitely many times better than season 2. Off the top of my head I guess I'd rate them as 1,3,4,2, but shit, I'd maybe go with 1,4,3,2 even.

IIRC, this "season" was only like what, 5 days? Didn't seem very long at all. I know there was a 1 year gap between Season 3 and 4 (not for Sookie), so appearing so soon would be kind of weird.

Re: True Blood -- Season Finale -- "And When I Die" -- 9/11/11

I thought it was a great ending for the season - although I'm curious why they brought in the fairies, just to ignore them the rest of the season.

Despite her annoyance I was actually sad to see Tara and Nan go. Jesus I didn't see coming and that one stung.

I thought this was a strong season and easily the second best (my ranking would be 3, 4, 1, 2)

And maybe vamps who are in the group mentioned that are challenging the vampire authority released him? After all, Russell would be a great leader for their cause.

Like I said, I know I'm in the minority when it comes to not enjoying Russell. I liked him at first, but then he just started grating on me.

But saying Russell is the show's best villain isn't really saying much, but if we were going to go there, I'm surprised to say I would probably choose Rene. That has been the only season so far that has really had a mystery and built a lot of suspense into the finale.

I thought it was a pretty good finale. They killed some people and set up stuff for the next season.

Loved the finale, loved the season.

I know I'm in the extreme minority on this one, but my ranking would be 2, 3, 4, 1.

Pretty cool that they've made Lafayette one of the more powerful people in the show, even if he doesn't know how to harness it yet. They might even have him resurrecting people.

And it appears they have dropped the werepanther storyline.

Re: True Blood -- Season Finale -- "And When I Die" -- 9/11/11

Best episode ever!

(The rest of the episode was pretty lame)

Why have the whole Andy-fairy scene last week and then not go anywhere with it in the finale? I thought something was going to happen with his magic finger when he hugged Arlene. They're obviously going somewhere with that story, but couldn't they have just saved that until next season if they weren't going to mention it again in the finale.

Does anyone really care who Sookie gets with? I feel like they want me to care, but how can I if she's just going to fall in love with someone different every few days?

I could use about 1000 less love stories in this show, I don't care who's plowing who. Let's see some boobs and then I want to see things die. Oh, and some crazy magic shit.

My happiness that Tara had her head blown off is now changed to sadness since she may be back. I'm hoping she will be back for a couple of minutes, and then go away forever. This season had too much Sookie/Eric nooky, cutting it all out would cut a lot of wasted time.

almost exactly how i feel.

i we are getting closer to seeing jessica truly nude! i like all the different cliff hangers for the characters. cool to see all the past characters coming back, too.

overally, the season was not as good as 1 or 3, but I'd say it was infinitely better than 2.

I don't think so. They pretty clearly stated on FB that 4 main characters killed in this episode are dead - Jesus, Nan, Debbie and Tara. But who knows. Tara is barely in the books...

The thing about Debbie is not the law. It is going to be her kin and pack. Alcide did abjure her but no one but Sam was there to hear it. However that she killed Tara may be enough to ditch that storyline which is central to a later book.

Since both are gay, that may well be the case.

I agree and not to my knowledge.

There ought to be a new guy with purple eyes on the horizon.

I agree. All told, the audience has only seen barely 2 years time in Bon Temps at best.

Think again...

Gonna be a long wait until season 5.

Steve Newlin gay? He was married to the hot blonde...Did they ever make a comment that he was actually gay? Wouldn't that be against his religion?
