"Do you make everyone around you gay?"
"That's the plan!"

Gwen's American accent was amazing. And she looked delicious as Yvonne.

I really love how they're examining all the different socio-political ramifications of the miracle. It's stuff like that that sets this show apart.

Best episode of the season to date, imo.

That was the line of the night for me.

It was decent. But I think she (the actress not the character) was slightly screwing it up on purpose.

Loved the wardrobe but hated the makeup. The latter made her look old.

That part was great but it's feeling a bit rushed. It feels as if they planned for 20 episodes and were told they'd only make 10. I keep feeling like I missed an episode in between.

It was much better than the third but nowhere near as brilliant as the second. That's still the best episode of the season for me.

Rushed? I'm finding this to be slow boring tow. I love all the characters and the basic storyline but for some reason it's just not pulling me in. I'm going to keep watching as it's great to have something to look forward to watch on a Friday night. I just hope it starts to pick up steam.

I didn't mean it was an amazing recreation of American vocal accents. I meant it was hilarious to hear her do such an over the top American accent.

The second episode was excellent but will forever be tainted by that awful actress from Dollhouse.

There was a story in EW.com last week that Starz might not be able to order another season. Russell Davies availability is in question and apparently this new and more expensive version of the show is a financial strain on the BBC, even though they split the costs with Starz.

What else is Davies working on?

All it said was Davies has "alot of things on his plate."

The President of Starz said he doesn't envision the show as a "yearly event." It sounds to me the show could take a year or 2 off depending on circumstances.

A new gay-themed series for Showtime. Not a continuation to Queer as Folk though.

I'm liking the new series. Still doesn't top CoE and I can't stand Mekhi's character or him for that matter (horribly miscast) but I like the rest.

Why does she piss you off so much?

That's too bad, though I'm not seeing the bigger budget on the screen . . . yet. As for Russell Davies, I know he created the show but can't they get someone else to produce and write it if there's enough interest? It works for Doctor Who.

If I have to wait every other year for a new season, that's better than no more new Torchwood at all.

Yeah but their wording sounds like a diplomatic way of saying they have no further interest in the show.

On a slightly unrelated note, I just realized that Eve Myles is the voice of Merill in Dragon Age II. No wonder I found her so loveable. :D

Oh great, thanks for telling me. I didn't even finish the first Dragon Age, but now I'm considering the second.

Truth be told, although I just finished the second, I never finished the first. Fortunately, the second game lets you port over your unfinished save from the first and simply fills in the blanks with whatever Bioware decided is the canon storyline.

I'm just not feeling this show. So many terrible characters, and the only ones I care even a little bit about are Jack and Gwen. I doubt this has any chance of coming close to being as good as CoE.

Re: Torchwood: Miracle Day -- "Escape to LA" -- 7/29/11

I think this was much improved over the previous episode. I agree the part about Ester going to her sisters was absolutely stupid and something I'd expect to see on 24. It's not like Gwen had a conversation with her about that exact issue the episode before. Rex gets a lot of crap, but I'd probably be cranky too if I had to put up with such antics!

I know the guy didn't give a lot of information, but I wonder if Jack really doesn't know. Perhaps he mixes up facts since he's been alive so long?

Oswald made a nice turn around from the last episode. Great how he stepped into the spot light on his own accord. I'm curious what the drug company told him.

I know Gwen couldn't "die", but that was a very tense scene! I think it was actually worse since you knew she could be alive after, but be in worse shape than if she were dead had the guy shot her in the head like that.

I think the Doctor has been weak since he left the show.
Liking this Miniseries.

Didn't see a thread for tonight's episode. Though I wasn't entirely surprised how it played out, I so love that this show is willing to mix it up like that.

Loved Jack acting like such a girl when Rex was being taken away. :D

And on a slightly unrelated note, it was refreshing to see a military camp scene that wasn't desaturated and brown.

I sort of figured that the red clothes pins were being taken away and fed to aliens or something.
