Man, I might be alone in this, but while I really like the actors and story on this show, I find myself hating everything about the way they show the powers. I found the effects since the pilot (the on-screen writing last week & the colors/quick cuts this week) to be super distracting and bad.

Its doing better than Eureeka in the ratings and that show has been on forever. I agree about the special effects being cheesy but overall I'm enjoying it.

I actually liked the special effects in this episode; for a TV show, I thought they did a good job. I was surprised they killed off the Alphas' handler.

Finally caught this today. This was a pretty damn good episode. The Alpha that released the anger pheromone caused some major havoc. Cool reveal that it was actually the guy and not the girl.
I thought the scene where the Alphas team started attacking each other was really well directed. It was a brutal scene and it sucked to see Don get the living pulp beaten out of him. Guess that frees up Callum Keith Rennie for season 2 of The Killing.
