I love reality competition shows like The Amazing Race. So hopefully this one will be good too. It helps that Burnett is producing it.

Aside from being a direct ripoff of the Amazing Race. It also reminded me of the reality series "Lost" from 2001.
I like how the "country boys" were talking all kinds of shit and the one guy could barely make it up the sand dune which was just the 1st obstacle.

I don't like how in the water challenge only one team figured it out and all the other teams just got their water from the same hole. They should have covered it up after they left or at least made each team have to dig their own hole.

I remember that show Lost, get me outta here. Beside the hippies, i don't think any teams have hike or backpacking in their life, specially team latin persuasion.

Its basically the exact same show sans the taxi's and Airline travel. If you like A.R. you'll probably like this.

We might be 2 of the 3 people in America who actually watched that show. The Gypsies look like the sleepers to win it all. They seemed to handle the physical challenges effortlessly.

I panned through it. I like the AR but didn't care for this. Maybe because it's too close to it but not as good and feels even more contrived than AR. I doubt I'll watch any more of it.

Even worse than Amazing Race or Survivor. I'm surprised they just didn't name the groups by race, creed, sexual orientation, etc... I mean they already had The Latinas, The Flaming Homos wouldn't be such a big leap.:p

I finally got to this tonight and the pacing of the show is just brutal. I kept staring at the clock while watching it. Riding camels and slowly slogging through the sand didn't help at all. It's pretty much a blatant ripoff of the Amazing Race with no planes or taxis and a much less frenetic pace.

That Latin Persuasion team was just awful. I don't think I could have stood listening to them talk in another episode. :lol: at the chick on that team wearing the party dress and dark stockings in the middle of 105 degree heat.

The teams are pretty much every single stereotype you could think of. 2 gay guys and their female friend, 3 blondes, 3 hillbilllies from the South, 3 obnoxious Latina chicks, 3 jocks, etc etc.

I looked up Akbar from the football players team and he pretty much had a unimpressive 3 year NFL career.

I'm not counting on it, but hopefully the pacing of the show improves.

I liked it. I see it as a cross between TAR and EcoChallenge. Much more physical than TAR. Burnett held an EcoChallenge in Morocco and it looks like they are covering some of the same ground and doing easier versions of the challenges.

I've been watching, but it's more of a background show. It's pretty good, but doesn't have the energy of Amazing Race.

Yea I watch this while working out. Ive been wondering is that gay dude that theyre ALWAYS talking too famous? He looks familiar and damn do they love giving him screen time.

This show's improved the last few weeks; this past episode was really good. No Limits has gotten lucky lately, but they're real troopers.

I hope those cops aren't detectives. Not looking in the vase for directions? Amazingly stupid. :doh:

So, this did air tonight? For some reason my ABC station decided to not air any of the regular ABC lineup and aired a 4x3 up-convert of the movie "Thirteen Days" instead. Can't seem to find any mention as to why and when they'll air the expected shows.

We tried to like this, we might have even made it 4 or 5 episodes in. Not that we were really like it much. Then we forgot about it, my wife has not even asked me about it, and it wasn't until this thread that I remembered it was still probably on.

So who won? Does this have any chance of being a summer reality show next year? I wouldn't think so. Some of those TBS shows like the one where someone "married" an Aussie at the end and that Gilligan's Island show were more entertaining than this.

Funny thing is that these people were doing some incredible things, but for whatever reasons, it was not translated into entertaining tv.
