I'm usually a sucker for F/X shows, but this just looks too weird and stupid.

The concept looks stupid but this could be one of those shows that so out of box that it's good. It can't be any worse that Louie, right?

In case anyone wasn't didn't know, this is actually a remake of an Australian show by the same name. Interestingly, the guy that plays Wilfred in the Australian show is also going to play him here.
Not sure what to make of it; looks pretty weird and it doesn't seem at all like it will draw in and maintain a large audience. I'll probably check it out though. |

I like the originality even though it looks weird..Have to check it out. Like most of what's on FX..although I only made it through the first few minutes of Louie before I couldn't take it anymore.

Didn't really know what this was about, but Elijah Wood was on O&A this morning, and sold me on it. Ill give it atleast 2 episodes to win me over.

I found the pilot interesting, there were a few laughs. I'll keep on watching this season. It's so quirky and different though, I'm not sure it'll catch on with the average joe.

Didn't do much for me. It started off kind of funny, but then just became a bore. Maybe now that they've got the concept established, future episodes will be better.
(I did crack up at Wilfred patting down the pillow and circling before he sat on the sofa). |

Thinking about it more now... Wilfred is kind of Fight Club-ish. Not that it's a bad thing.

It had its moments which works just fine for a 30 minute comedy. And honestly, where else are you going to find a man in a dog suit motorboating a hot waitress?

LMFAO This show is so stupid ... I absolutely love it. I'd be shocked if it gets a second season but i'ma enjoy the hell out of it while it's here.

I laughed several times. I liked the dryness of the sister/doctor bitching about the kids she keeps having to "pull out of women" at work (the humor of which is fairly subtle within the context of a talking dog show).
I'll be back next week. |
