Believe it or not, this is A&E's highest rated scripted drama ever. It averaged over 3.5M viewers last summer. It's not the most likeable show, but it grows on you with time. And yes, if you didn't see season 1, you can jump in with no problems at all.

This got the lowest priority of any show we actually finished last summer. We're somewhat reluctantly in, but it's going to take a back seat for me to Covert Affairs and Burn Notice and for my wife to Memphis Beat.

I thought it was a good beginning for season 2. This show grew on me last year and now it's one of my favorites for the summer.

I watched this half paying attention and it was a decent start to the season.
Jim is still as snarky and sarcastic as he was last season. I'm not sure how I feel about Kiele Sanchez. She's not bad looking, but I don't think she's really hot. I'm not sure how I feel about them bringing in Callie's loser con husband to cause some conflict between she and Jim. Seems like a tired plot device that was used on Dexter recently.
The show looks great in HD.
Some really good guest stars. Patrick St. Esprit from The Chicago Code and Joaquim De Almeida, who was on Parenthood last season for a few episodes.

I sorta like the show but Jim is actually too snarky and sarcastic at times. I'm surprised he's still alive (beyond the obvious "it's a TV show" answer) given the shit he pulls with some people.

I like the show and will stick around. Jim does walk a very fine line between being too much of a smart ass and just enough that I find it entertaining though. I like Callie as well. And based on the season preview it looks like we are going to be getting into some large story arcs rather than just one off episodes.
