It's that time of year once again where I have to endure Judge Bob talk about whether or not they have the chops to be a FN star.

For some reason my kids are hooked on this show while it tends to annoy me to no end. "Do you have the fake personality and the proper ethnic/demographic background to make you the next FN star? If you do we'll give you your own show where you'll be quickly forgotten while we also trot out the second and third place winners who will more than likely wind up being better than you."

Wow, your jumping the gun since your saying it starts 4 years from now.
Anyways, I actually didn't finish season 6 last summer for some reason, but Food Network aired a marathon Friday and I recorded the last 4 episodes that I didn't watch. I enjoyed seeing Aarti win. Hopefully I can keep up this year.

I started to type exactly what mugwump said then before I sent it actually read what mugwump said and started laughing because they beat me to the punch.
I still chuckle over the winner I believe now 3 seasons ago (the one with the chef lying about his credential scandal - who knew he'd predate Robert Irvine!) and how that winner got to do her series, wasn't renewed and just fell off the face of the earth never to be seen/heard from again.
Then again, has anyone from that season ever been heard from again?

The ones I see on a normal basis are Guy Fierie and Adam Gerter. Does S4 winner Aaron McGargo (big daddy) even have a show anymore. I came across both Aarti and Mellisa D'Arabians show once and thought they were both pure shit. Way to pick em guys

Can't wait and look forward to not watching the winners show.
I actually love Guy but never watched his season and D'Arabian while I never watched her season either I think she actually makes food that appeals to me and is fairly easy to duplicate at home.
Aarti, the Hardy Boys (is that who I'm thinking of?) ect. just don't do a thing for me.

If they were such pure shit they wouldn't still be on the air, now would they? Heck, they all last longer then "Cooking with Brian Boitano".
But he wasn't flying any jet planes destroying dragons while cooking so it just wasn't cool enough.

And they're *still* airing it in upconverted SD?
But, yeah, Penny's a bitch. And if you're attempting to bring sexy back to the kitchen, shouldn't you be, you know, sexy? She's not nearly attractive enough to be able to pull off the curvy type of attractive, either.

It seems like all the Food Network shows now is shit like competitive cupcake baking, or "Chopped" where we get to watch a couple of gangbangers try to make a dessert with a can or sardines, peanut butter, carrots, and beef jerky.

One of them (Alicia, I think) reminded me of Laura Prepon. She had a somewhat similar look and a very similar voice.

Why didn't they film this in HD? It looks like shit on the HD feed. Anyway, we all know Food Network needs some Asian flare so I think Whitney wins this one.

Actually, I feel they got a pretty competitive crowd this time out.
I like the new opening.
I agree about the upconverting SD. It sucks. We got phones that can shoot in widescreen HD. (I can't believe it took a network show like Amazing Race so long to get shot in HD.)
