Spoiler warning of how the show will go... small pieces but basically reenforces my thoughts on how it goes

Spoiler:
Lex and Clark have a conversation about how to defeat Darkseid.
- Will we see any flash forwards to the future in the premiere? "That will be answered in the first five minutes of the show," the producers say.
- Will we hear the John Williams Superman theme, like we have in the promotional trailers? "That will be answered in the last five minutes," Brian Peterson says.

Here's a very cool promo from the Canadian channel Space, which will air the finale this Sunday. I like this promo alot better than the one from The CW that focuses almost all on LL.

A very familiar song is heard in the background.

Re: Smallville- Series Finale -"Finale"- 05/13/2011

At the conclusion of 10 seasons, I can now safely say that no episode has eclipsed Thirst to take the spot for worst episode of the lot.

Also, even though she hasn't been great the past few years, it's amazing how much of a turn around Chloe made. I was originally overjoyed when her house blew up. I so thought she was gone. I can't express how much I disliked her character back then.

Aside from obvious things like - stop the show after season 5 or 6, never move to Metropolis or have Clark wear the suit years ago, I'm curios what people might have changed looking back. Did you ever feel Clark and Lex were friends? Was mistrust played up too much?

Buffy and Lexcorp at the center.
Lana decides to enroll at Metropolis University at the last minute and is forced to join a sorority to find housing. The house leader Buffy Sanders, and her sorority sisters, offer her more than a place to crash when they turn her into a vampire. Lex provides Clark with an antidote for Lana, after LuthorCorp is revealed to be connected to the vampires. Chloe earns an internship at the Daily Planet.

I'm really surprised there's not a special airing beforehand or anything, or even an old episode. It just seems weird that the lead-in I'll see going into the finale of a 10-year series about one of the most iconic characters of all time will be a rerun of Two And A Half Men.

Well, The CW programming doesn't start until 8pm ET/PT. 7pm is local affiliate programming. But yeah I get what you mean, 10 years and they should at least have a 1 hour retrospective on the show. I guess they are probably saving it for the DVD/BD release of season 10.

In St. Louis Smallville isn't on until 8 pm, because our local station has news.

I've never watched the show, but I predict in the last five minutes, we'll find out the series was Superman's life flashing before his eyes, before he dies at the hands of...The Prankster.

IDK...I thought the episode where Pete returned that was just pretty much a commercial for gum was the worst one in my recent memory.

Yeah, I think that was bad, but it was somewhat saved by an okay plot outside those antics and One Republic. However, I would put it in the Top 5 category, along with Pete's other lovely episode Velocity (Fast and Furious riff - funny how that's had a 5th film in the series at this point).

Cant wait for the finale. I remember sitting in my dorm room, my senior year in college, watching the first episode. Its interesting how much better the show has gotten in the last few seasons. I dont know if it was the challenge of writing without lex, the original show runners leaving, or both. Shame it cant continue on as Metropolis, or JLA.

Batman cameo or at least a nod in the Series Finale?

BTW, to me SMALLVILLE only works if I think of it as happening on an alternate Earth. I mean, the stories and characters are so FUBAR'd....although I'm NOT happy seeing a DC show go away, I am happy to see THIS DC show end.

Re: Smallville- Series Finale -"Finale"- 05/13/2011

"Somebody save me..." This will probably be the last time I ever hear that song...maybe I should pick it up on iTunes. This is one of the shows where I always watch the opening credits because I like the song and the opening still looks pretty cool. I still remember the one where Lois was in her bikini. I wonder if that little kid that Clark shields in the opening credits gets a residual check from that little snippet.

Can someone summarize what happened to Lex? Even though I've watched every episode, I don't quite understand. He was in the Fortress when it collapsed but somehow he survived? Then he disappeared for awhile and was blown up in the back of a van or something? Was it Ollie that did that? Then we have various Lex clones, but only one surivived and he is actually a combination of Lex and Clark's DNA? So where does the returning Lex come from? I haven't read any spoilers yet, so I'm just asking for speculation.

I remember this show started around the same time as 24 and Alias. What a great season for new shows.

Also it appears the CW is re-airing the finale the following Thursday.

I really just hope that Tom in the suit is shown completely and not just as a fucking tease or blur. But seeing as I haven't heard any rumblings or spy photos or ANYTHING related to him wearing it, I'm not keeping my hopes up that much.
