I saw the short preview of Annie in a low cut shirt and shorts.... so I can already vote for "Better than last year's paintball episode"
Really bummed that they're not doing an hour long ep of this.

If this was any other forum, there would be 50 idiot votes. The respect the members of this forum have for the content is amazing.
Oh and I can't wait.

Okay, so I apologize in advance for my long post. I've made an effort to clean it up, streamline it, etc.
---
Really enjoyed the opening credits. Nice tribute to Westerns with the style and music.
The episode got off to a great start. Allison Brie looked great in that outfit. I loved her jumping out of the ceiling and saving, then shooting, Fat Neil. It's great that they bring back recurring characters like Fat Neil and Anthony Michael Hall. Annie was all sorts of badass this episode; from saving Fat Neil to taking out all the cheerleaders at once to forcing Pierce into a shootout. She was just a great combination of sexy, cool, and kickass; it was great that they had Abed acknowledge that.
I really liked starting right in the middle of the paintball war and using flashbacks to explain how it got started. Very reminiscent of Westerns, giving us the backstory or mysterious characters. Troy and Abed dropping their ice cream cones with The Dean announced another paintball tournament was great.
I like that they switched up the guns this time around and gave us revolvers and shotguns. Nice touch.
They're really embracing Pierce as the villain, that's for sure. It's tough because while on the one hand he does deserve a lot of the hate from the study group, sometimes they do exclude him unfairly. I really hope by the end of next week they resolve some of the conflict within the group. Since Annie was the "Ace of Hearts," was she the only one that voted to keep Pierce in the study group? I sort of thought it might have been Jeff. I love how much Pierce hated Vicky, and then has her and the nerdy guy dancing on the table in his saloon.
Chang was used so perfectly in this episode. I loved his betrayal of Jeff and asking if the Math Club was comprised of Asians. Then cut to the cheerleaders about to execute him, only for him to make an escape and run around handcuffed and blindfolded. The ending with him getting gunned down by a paintball machine gun was great and again, very much in the vein of Westerns.
Loved Josh Holloway as the mysterious bad guy. Jeff worrying about his looks was great. Nice to see him fall victim to Pierce's fake heart-attack, while the rest of the study group just stood around waiting for Pierce to quit, lol.
---
And now for some quotes...
Abed: "Does that can even go to this school? He''s really good looking, like Network TV good looking. And did you see those guns?"
Star-Burns: "You have to surrender your guns...and your drugs."
Pierce: "Don't worry Jeff, I've got someone more your speed."
Leonard: "Cause you're gay."
Shirley: "I hope we find the cache of ammo soon. I need to pump."
Troy: "Me too."
Shirley: "What?"
Troy: "You're talking about peeing, right?"
Shirley: "No."
Troy: "Me either."
Jeff: "I got a better look at him. He's not that good looking."
---
I definitely think they should have aired this as a two-part finale since, as Axeramm notes below, they have an empty slot where The Paul Reiser Show used to be; but I get that they're trying to capitalize on ratings, and they have sweeps, etc. It's going to suck though having to wait a full week for the conclusion, which looks epic.
It's hard to compare this to Modern Warfare really. While they're both centered around a paintball tournament, they're really different. This one had a ton of great action scenes, some fantastic shootouts, and tons of humor. While I love my action flicks, I'm really partial to Westerns, especially those by Sergio Leone, so that might tip the scale in favor of this episode for me. Based on what I saw tonight and the preview for next week, I think these two episodes will end up being better than Modern Warfare.
It also struck me that while Modern Warfare clearly spoofed/referenced a number of action films (Die Hard, Hard Boiled, The Warriors, Predator, etc.), this episode definitely felt like more of a tribute to the Western genre in general.

With NBC cancelling the Paul Reiser show I wish they would have done an hour tonight and just done an hour of Office repeats next week. Tonight's show is amazing so far.

Loved that.
Another fantastic episode. I wonder what is the story with the Pistol Patty? Is it someone we met before? First I was thinking that it was Pierce, since he has the money, but I don't think so now. The rival college dean? Or just someone we've never met? Thoughts?
I love this show.

I liked this one more than last year's. Perhaps it was the genre.

Yeah, pretty good, lots of laughs. But I wouldn't have expected anything less. It would have been more epic if the whole episode had played out tonight, though.

I loved the character intros... Dont remember if its from red dead revolver commercials...in game borderlands (on further review, it is seen in borderlands), or the Ocean # movies.

Leave it to NBC to put on 2 godawful hours of Celebrity Apprentice every week, but they can't show an hour episode of a sitcom for one night. Community deserves better.
