Funny my cable provider can work with HBO enough to gouge me for their lineup, but they cannot work with them enough to get me this mobile app

I've been going through Six Feet Under, The Wire, Sex and the City, and Eastbound & Down over the past few weeks. Also caught up on Entourage. Will hopefully also get through Deadwood and Carnivale before my 3-month HBO trial ends.

I'm pleased with it so far. Except for one important thing. It doesn't support TV out! I went and got the cable to connect it to HDMI and I get sound from my TV, but just the HBO Go logo on the screen. Hopefully they'll address this in the next release. It would be a hell of a lot easier to whip out my phone and go than it would be to get out my laptop, boot it up (which take FOREVER since it's my work computer and they encrypt the hard drive), browse to the site, setup the dual monitor thing, switch the sound output to HDMI rather than laptop speakers, etc.

using this on an iphone or ipod is worthless because of the battery life. after you keep recharging the battery too many times it no longer is useable. i guess the ipad has better battery life

Re: HBO2GO - HBO's On Demand Web Portal
We hooked my laptop up to our tv last night via HDMI and watched a bunch of old episodes of Flight of the Conchords. I miss that show so much. We had a few issues with bugs: a couple of the episodes froze and had to be restarted, episodes were letterboxed in 4:3 format so they didn't fill the screen, and the picture jumped to the left of my screen a couple times, but overall, I'm really pleased with HBO GO. We subscribed to HBO for Game of Thrones, and we were originally planning on canceling after the season ends, but we're going to keep it now.

As someone who works for one of the cable companies that's participating, and I pay nothing for HBO, this app is killer! Fantastic job.

I really wish there was a way to use this on the PS3 on my TV like you can with Hulu and Netflix.
