Same deal as usual:

Wednesday: 90 minute performance show

Thursday: 1 hour results show, which you can usually fast forward to the final 5 minutes (if your not watching it live)

And try not to vote in the Poll until you've actually heard them sing.

You did the same thing last week. I'm guessing you hate all the remaining contestants?

Either Jacob or Haley will be going this week. It's not too hard to predict.

I agree. Maybe if Djariya doesn't want early voters the question should be "Who do you think performed the worst".

Fair enough. That will be for the Top 5. That probably won't stop Arminius from voting early though. Frankly, I don't know if he's voting because he truly doesn't care or is being a wise guy.

Well, "who do you think performed worst" doesn't necessarily equate to "who do you think will be voted out" either, but I see your dilemma.

How about "Based on this week's performances, who should go home?"

I hope it's Haley/Casey/Jacob in the bottom 3. Casey especially.

I don't even need to hear them sing. Jacob will go home this week unfortunately.

I would go to Vote For the Worst, but it would probably be a tie.

James was good, the rest were bad or boring. I don't hate Casey, but Simon would have murdered him.

Once again, I don't get the lovefest for Casey. If you close your eyes and just listen to him, he's not that good. He's fun, adorable and entertaining.
The best singer of the bunch? No way. Not even close.

Love James Durbin. I don't think I'll buy one of his albums.. but I love his story, his attitude and his ability to sing just about anything.

Re: American Idol -- Top 6 -- The Songs of Carole King -- April 27/28

Tonights performance sealed the deal for me. I really want James to win. I loved his performance and I love the sound of his voice. I also love his story and I actually would pay to see him perform. I think Scotty has so much momentum, and I know he has a great voice, but he does not entertain me. When James is on stage, I cant look away, I am that drawn in.

Jacob Lusk is going home.

Lauren Alaina is starting to gain confidence which all she needs to win this season.

Nothing unfortunate about it. He needs to go. He has needed to go for several weeks.

Re: American Idol -- Top 6 -- The Songs of Carole King -- April 27/28

Jacob was my pick to go before tonight's show and he is still my pick. It wouldn't have mattered to me how he did, but imo he wasn't too good tonight. They also didn't do him any favors by having him go first. I think Haley and Casey round out the bottom 3 tomorrow. I think Haley has actually performed very well the last 3 weeks, but it won't matter too much.

She's the only one I like, and she does have a fan base (check out the itunes sales...she's also Michael Slezak's favorite remaining contestant). Unfortunately, her voting fan base seems to be less active.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think it's the end of the line for her (and thus me!) this week. I voted so I can at least say I did my part.

Casey's recognizable and has a distinct style and identity. That's where the love is. Bob Dylan couldn't sing, but still guy is inifinitly recognizable. Not comparing Casey at all to Bob Dylan, just sayin....
That being said, my least favorites are Jacob and James. Both for obvious reasons. Mainly, that excuse for a duet, and for the fact that James has to learn what 'pitch' is.

Casey seems like an all around entertainer. His voice is not as good as some of the others, but his stage presence is better then them all, in my opinion.

He seems to me like he could either do very well in Vegas shows, or having his own kind of "Dan Band" kind of band.......

See, I think Casey can sing and does have good voice, but ruins it with his awful "showman" decisions.

Re: American Idol -- Top 6 -- The Songs of Carole King -- April 27/28

Having watched "Gilmore Girls" for all those years, Lauren's rendition just didn't work for me, and it was seriously offputting (as well as the serenading to that dude in the front row/steps).

Scotty is in it to win it. My second favorite of the night.

James sings from his tippy toes, meaning he's singing with his whole body, with no reservations, no hesitations. Best of the night.

Jacob is just noise to me at this point, as his singing is to the point of hysterical singing, which isn't easy to listen to for any length of time.

Casey continues with the stupid growling and showmanship, bleh.

Haley has found her groove, and looks comfortable in her skin at this point in the competition.

It was weird to note that Casey sings in a higher key than Haley did in their duet, and it sounded crappy.

Scotty and Lauren's duet flittered about being good and somewhat clashing at times from the raspy and the country.

James and Jacob should never duet again, that was a little too much of everything.

Although I would never buy a record from any of them, James is watchable and Casey is humorous. Scotty is ok but monotonous. The others are just forgettable except for Jacob. He is a public irritant.

I hope she can survive this week but I feel like her time on the show is almost over. It's shame because she's the only contestant left that I like.
