FYI for those in the East, Daniel Dae Kim (Chin) is doing Live Twitter commentary right now for the East Coast showing.

I love all the local business name dropping At least it's subtle to those not in Hawaii and not like those early Bing debacles.

Fun episode. It was cool seeing some backstory about Chin and why he was dismissed from HPD.
A little bit overacting from Grace Park in this episode during Chin and Kono's argument in the car.
It was nice to see Ando again. Too bad they didn't get a chance to stick him and Masi Oka (Bergman) in the same scene and then we would have had a Hiro/Ando reunion.
I'm more looking forward to seeing more Mark Dacascos.

So how does a corpse end up with the fish scale in the wound when the bullet went through him first and ended up in the fish?

I like how Steve shatters his arm and they put him in a soft cast and he's able to function like normal. And how Danny mentions, "Hey, let the cops take this case" when they first find the body, knowing they have been overtaking basic HPD cases since the start of the show.
I though it was poor use of JKL. Like it could have been anyone in that role... but as people pointed out last time there was a big guest star, too much to be made a villain. Nice to see Sab Shimono, too.

Then Steve even says the weather's going to turn so he has to get help NOW or the whole place will turn into a mudslide...but before Danny even has him up the cliff, the helicopter arrives, no weather threat in sight. :P
Also couldn't help but at Chin going in to talk to his dying aunt and 30 seconds after he gets there, his uncle calls him out of the room for an important discussion...as though he couldn't have given Chin 5 minutes with her.
But, still, I do love the escape that this show is!

The 5-0 team really should equip themselves with satellite phones. Hell, they've got all that other high tech equipment....can't imagine 4 sat phones will cost much more. That's a few episodes where they've been out of cell range.

Unless they can get Windows 7 on a sat phone, I'm pretty sure they're advertising dept will keep them tied to a local phone service.
